  1. > “We’ve shared with our teams that while we will continue to distill at our (Freddie Booker Noe) craft distillery in Clermont and at our larger Booker Noe distillery in Boston, we plan to pause distillation at our main distillery on the James B. Beam campus for 2026 while we take the opportunity to invest in site enhancements. Our visitor center at the James B. Beam campus remains open so visitors can have the full James B. Beam experience and join us for a meal at The Kitchen Table.”

    Must be some major renovations.

  2. Dear everyone who stopped buying American shit due to the trade wars: thank you, keep up the good work.

  3. Trump doesn’t care about Whiskey because the girls he likes aren’t old enough to buy it (or vote).

  4. It’s good to see our more advanced, democratic allies are smart enough to sanction MAGA states.

America needs all the help we can get to fight fascism.

  5. Hoping that Canada is partially to blame for this. They like bourbon and drank a ton of Kentucy offering till the US decided to shit all over Canada with that 51st state bullshit.

Fuck Jim Beam hope you don’t make it back.

  6. Isn’t this kinda huge actually? Jim Beam has to be the largest bourbon brand, in Kentucky no less, to be shutting down production in their historical state is a massive sign of the times

Good. Let MAGA understand firsthand that while their stupid politics might have an impact directly in the United States, the rest of the world isn’t going to sit idly by and take their nonsense on the chin. You elected a clown to start a trade war and you thought that America could survive on its own? Congrats – you played yourselves.

  8. When the tariffs were issued I stopped buying any liquor manufactured in the South. I am happy to see the boycott is working.

  9. Canada stopped drinking bourbon because of much more than just the trade war. It’s no longer worth supporting maga/red districts and it lost its brand.

American alcohol brands used to be “cool” in non US countries, even though most of it is tremendously overrated. There’s no going back now.

  12. > Industry group Distilled Spirits Council of the United States said that U.S. spirits exports plummeted 85 percent [in 2025].

    Absolutely brutal numbers. Thanks, Trump!

As a Canadian, I take pride in doing my part to contribute to this outcome.

If you take issue with this stance, turn your ire towards the one who started this and I’ll give you a hint: it wasn’t Canada.
