    >“Stephen Colbert is a pathetic trainwreck, with no talent or anything else necessary for show business success,” Trump wrote just after midnight on Truth Social. “Now, after being terminated by CBS, but left out to dry, he has actually gotten worse, along with his nonexistent ratings. Stephen is running on hatred and fumes ~ A dead man walking! CBS should, ‘put him to sleep,’ NOW, it is the humanitarian thing to do!”

“If Network NEWSCASTS, and their Late Night Shows, are almost 100% Negative to President Donald J. Trump, MAGA, and the Republican Party, shouldn’t their very valuable Broadcast Licenses be terminated? I say, YES!” Trump said.

“I absolutely love that Colbert’ got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings. I hear Jimmy Kimmel is next. Has even less talent than Colbert!” Trump wrote.

Censorship and thought-police, welcome to the New Confederate States of Trumpland.

*“To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.”*

Trump is unpatriotic, and morally treasonable to the American public.

  2. Amazes me is that if we used the same language as Trump does, as much as we would like to, we would be banned from Reddit.

    >Hate speech, any suggestion or support of physical harm, or other rule violations can result in a temporary or a permanent ban

Many times I’ve typed out a comment and deleted it.

  3. every accusation trump makes is a confession, this means his days are numbered and its eating him up.

  4. Isn’t that…I don’t know….a threat? Amazing how fast we slid into Russian style governing.

Somebody on Twitter copied this text exactly except substituted Donald Trump’s name for Colbert’s name and he was reported for making death threats against the president

  6. Seriously, Trump, just get over it. He doesn’t like you, big deal – it really shouldn’t matter so much.

  7. Meanwhile, sundowning demented pedophile rapist boomer screams into the void. Reasonable people still wondering how anyone is still listening to this literal dead man walking…

Yet I’m not opening Champagne when Colbert passes (hopefully not for a long time). I’ve got a flight of bottles lined up for someone else though.

This dude is so fucking insane it’s unbelievable what has happened to this country to elect a dick like Trump

  10. Do these sound like the actions and words of a man, one who has spent 79 years wisely and purposefully, with something worthwhile to leave posterity?

    Truly ponder that question.

  11. Despicable to the last breath, that is Trump.

The slurs against people and chosen targets is entirely the responsibility of Trump and the cabal alongside and behind him.

Other than those who still idolise him, I for one (Uk) still respect the American public. He I hope, is a temporary stain on the Presidency. Do not loose your faith that democracy can remain a cornerstone of life there.

Speak out, object and vote as though your future depends on it – because it does!

  12. If I used either of those phrases on Reddit (in that context) it would probably trigger a warning or a ban.

  13. I really hope whoever the next Democratic president is, that they talk about FOX News anchors and right wing pundits like Trump talks about everyone. They lose their minds.

  14. I’m amused by these sorts of tirades because it feels very obvious to me that the President is just adding fuel to the fire. He’s clearly upset by the comments and jokes that Colbert makes on his show, and the President speaking up about gives Colbert’s writing staff more to play with, and draws attention to the show.

  15. Can we stop with the “slams” bullshit? Here’s a corrected headline:

Trump ***implicitly threatens*** Colbert, calls him ‘dead man walking’ and demands CBS ‘put him to sleep’

  16. Trump won this one months ago. CBS declined to renew Colbert’s show when the current run ends.

Even for a petty vengeful bitch this is overkill, no pun intended.

We have a deranged pedophile as our president who is attempting to rule in the style of a flailing mob boss.

  18. Donald Trump is a pathetic trainwreck, with no talent or anything else necessary for success. He should be impeached by the U.S. and put in a cell as he has actually gotten worse, along with his plummeting ratings. Donald is running on hatred and fumes ~ A demented man talking! Remove him and jail him NOW, it is the humanitarian thing to do!”

  19. LiveLaughLoaded on

well since its an unprecedented time in history and our presidents a child molester and human trafficker maybe they should do an unprecedented removal from office, and take away his privledges and severance package so the kids in school down the road can read in the history books that its not ok.

  20. Stephen Colbert is a national gd treasure and we are lucky to have him, especially at a time when insight, satire, and courage are in such scarce supply

  21. So let’s see, if I called Trump a dead man walking, is Reddit going to ban me for harassment again?
I fucking hate Trump and can’t wait to spit on his headstone. Ban me.

  22. You know it doesn’t seem like that much of a stretch that trump would have a new born murdered and dumped into a lake

  23. KaptainKardboard on

Showing just how much Colbert has gotten under his skin is a fantastic Christmas gift for Colbert. It’ll make for some great material on his show.

Rapist pedophile and fascist domestic terrorist makes a public death threat on a private citizen.

  25. Im_gumby_damnit on

It is indescribably inappropriate for a president to use such vile language. How do Republicans sleep at night?
