In China, the party runs the government. I’m not seeing much of a difference here.

  2. Add in Trump’s Supreme Court minions and you have an American style authoritarian/fascist-like regime. Definitely not a representative democracy.

Just this guy’s name screams ignorance and stupidity. Markwayne? Is he friends with Jimbob?

  4. Only senator without a college degree continues to be a complete numbskull, resorts to sports metaphors.

The GOP is complicit in the crimes, is the deepstate, swamp, enemy from within, weaponization of government, pedophile protectors, economy killers, traitors to the American people and our allies, and etc.

  6. Mullin has about the same IQ as trump. There should be minimum stds that you have to pass before you can even run for a seat.

The drover’s dog would have a higher IQ and be more independent than this butt licking idiot.

These dumbasses simply want to keep their jobs so they can keep grifting while in and out of office, so they kiss his ass so he doesn’t primary them. Conservative voters are such damned Lemmings they truly think Trump gives a shit about them, so they’ll vote for who he tells them to.

  8. It’s perfect to him. The GOP in the other branches of government answers to Trump. It’s not debatable.

This idiot doesn’t understand how our government is designed to function. The President isn’t king. He’s a public servant.

  10. Markwayne Mullin is dumb as hell, and I can’t shake the feeling that this man has some absolutely gnarly skeletons in his closet.

It’s a lack of Senate leadership that makes them go elsewhere. Their constituents are the team owners, and their contracts are almost up.

  12. The traditional Roman dictatorship was a condition of state that was bestowed by the senate upon the Consul. Likewise, when the US Senate refused to impeach Trump, he was granted a de facto dictatorship by removing all checks on his power despite his naked corruption.

Congress is simply a non-factor right now. They relinquished their authority

  13. This guy is dumb as a rock. When he speaks, nobody with an IQ over 10 listens. The same as with Trump.

  14. There have been times in US history when Congress has been strong and the executive branch weak. It’s not inconceivable that could happy again (if we survive Trump et al).

  15. How fitting he uses this metaphor. Considering the way idiots like him played a role in turning American politics into a sporting event.

  16. They’re not only supposed to be a separate branch. They’re supposed to question what the presideent does and advise, before giving consent.

    >Senator pitches wrong metaphor on Trump

No. He was 100% correct, and he is telling on himself and the GOP as a whole. They have abdicated their power to kiss the boot of the Trump dictatorship.

The GOP is 100% complicit in the destruction of US Democracy.

  18. Sport is a game of entertainment that is sometimes, but not always competitive, with various levels of direct and indirect incentive.

This is not a game, you are not being paid for entertainment purposes. The government are civil servants, not athletes or coaches. Not even the front office.

Even if this metaphor worked, what coach leads their team to hurt the fans (this includes all citizens, not just the boot licking ones that think this is a way to win).
