Great to hear that Albanese is open to deploying the army to safeguard the Jewish community, unlike his stubbornness in calling a Royal Commission. The army is absolutely needed to preserve peace and assist the police wherever possible.

Jesus Christ this guy is such a slimy parasite of a politician.
First he pushes knee-jerk laws that do nothing to address the problem of Islamic (and religious as a whole) terrorism and decides to punish law abiding gun owners with laws that have so many errors I don’t have time to list them all. Then on top of that he decides to just blanket ban any protest for a period of his choosing because that’s definitely not authoritarian at all. Oh, and at the same time we’re going to crack down on “hate speech” and make it increasingly harder in the future to criticise Israel, because stopping people expressing reasonable criticisms about a government definitely won’t radicalise people further and make the problem worse.
And NOW, on top of this, he decides to just go around saying, “oh yea, we’re going to have super duper special forces police with fucking machines guns and shit, so cool!”, because that’s what we all need to hear, not have a actual logical decision and plan.
Oh, and top of that he thinks its a great idea to have private companies with similar weaponry to the police, because what could go wrong with creating essentially private policing companies? Oh, and also only arming the Jewish community totally won’t make tensions worse because a lot of people would rightfully perceive it as special treatment or just unfair/wrong. Like imagine if the Islamic, Hindu, or Christian communities had essentially their own private police force.
And now wants the fucking ARMY to patrol the streets. Because that will surely not freak people out when they see soldiers with assault rifles. (I’m not blaming the soldiers themselves btw, they probably don’t want to waste their time doing shit they aren’t trained or suppose to do). Also does nobody realise that the whole purpose of the army and ADF as a whole is to annihilate any threat with as much firepower as possible? Not exactly applicable to civilian policing, since I kind of don’t think main battle tanks are the best way to perform RBT stops.
Also does nobody realise the type of precedent this shit sets?
