Look, I’ love Wyoming’s land, I love the views, I love the mountains, I love that damn state. But the people, as a whole (not individually!) have way way more power than people in other states, and they continually use their power to screw over both themselves and the rest of the country.
So I have about zero sympathy for Wyoming’s “scant water resources,” because it’s all self-inflicted and those assholes were downright hostile about anything that would help themselves. I know, because I heard them personally state this in their own homes as I visited people there. A niece got a new Mach-E EV? Oh, it was the end of the world, such a terrible vehicle, never going to work, absolutely terrible for the environment because of all the mining for battery minerals (unlike mining for clean beautiful coal…)
Enough subsidizing these leaches and vampires on the rest of the US. Let’s get some decent politics out of that state for once, have Wyoming do something positive for the rest of the country for once, before we show these assholes any sympathy. Until then, they’re just traitors to our common cause of a strong US.
