  1. This, and many other incredibly poor decisions, will be your legacy…forever. Taney is no longer the worst in history. Own it, Brett.

Better late than never, I guess. Kavanaugh is iterally the worst SC ‘justice’ in our lifetime.

  3. Hilarious part is police academies all around the country have been teaching the opposite of a Kavanaugh Stop. When this came out, I can imagine the chaos that ensued throughout all police academies.

  4. The only way to walk them back is to ban them in an official ruling. Until then, they’re Kavanaugh stops.

  5. You decided to make Racial profiling legal, you decided that catching “the illegals” was more important than protecting the rights of actual US citizens and legal residents who shouldn’t be stopped just for looking or speaking a certain way

you made your bed and you can lie in it racist fuck

  6. Every illegal detention is a Kavanaugh stop and all should be referred to as such. Kavanaugh is a piece of shit and all of us should do our part to make sure that he is not forgotten as such in history.

  12. This guy rapes women. Fuck everything else about him. I don’t give a shit. He rapes women. He should be in jail.

In Federalist No. 51, James Madison meant that because humans are inherently self-interested and imperfect (“not angels”), government is necessary to control the governed and, crucially, to control itself, requiring checks, balances, and separation of powers to protect liberty from abuse. If people were perfectly virtuous (angels), laws, rulers, and constitutional limits wouldn’t be needed; but since they aren’t, ambition must check ambition, forcing leaders to respect rights to protect their own power
