  1. > Donald Trump says the US will be “strongly involved” in Venezuela oil in the wake of the attacks and capture of President Maduro.

    > The US President revealed more of his plans for the South American nation in a phone interview with US broadcaster Fox News.

    > He said: “We have the greatest oil companies in the world, the biggest, the greatest, and we’re going to be very much involved in it.”

    > Trump added that US forces sustained “a few injuries” during the military operation and stormed a “highly-guarded fortress”, capturing the Venezuelan president and his wife.

  2. Amazing, he dropped the charade immediately after the attack was launched.

I am sure the people who supported ending the war in Ukraine at all cost to bring peace will be very against attacking another nation for their oil….. right?

  3. Advisors: We have to spin this to deny that we’re motivated by oil.

POTUS: We’re in it for the oil.

This is disgusting at a level I can’t even express at 7 o’clock in the morning. I don’t know what to think anymore or which way to turn for Hope. This demon Trump is abominable.

Quite honestly with what army? Outside of b2s and limited aerial / special forces operations the US and MAGA in particular have zero tolerance for actual military deployments.

It will not take much even for Venezuela to deter US actions because US wants 1950s clout without paying for it in blood and money. That’s not how any of this works.

This is called theft of the wealth of another country. The list of crimes confessed by Trump keeps rising.

  7. what a surprise… I’m very glad the place I live in, has no oil, so we have no risk to be “democracy” served.

So Greenland is next, and then Canada?

How long until America gets sanctions and actual pushback?

Imperialist regime led by a felon, kidnapped sitting president of a sovereign nation.

  10. I love how he can’t even keep his mouth shut enough to give himself and his administration plausible deniability. If this guy dies without spending time in prison, it’ll be a crime against justice and humanity.

  11. And the population of Venezuela won’t see a dime, they’ll continue to languish in poverty as US corporations suck out the #1 largest known oil reserves in the world from right under their feet.

I’m sure there will be no sanctions against the US, certainly not from the EU where I’m from, spineless cowards. We need to work against the literal evil empire of our time.

Our current president is a pedophile, a fraudster, a rapist, and a war criminal.

  13. Conservatives are already saying that “this isnt a war, its a decisive victory” in defense of trump. They are already saying that “boots in the ground” doesnt count since they overthrew a tyrant in a matter of hours.

Meanwhile, we likely just made this a third world country over the next decade while US troops patrol the streets and are forced to accept insults and possibly return fire in a place they aren’t wanted. Again. Just like fucking Afghanistan…

  14. I’m not sure the FIFA Peace price will ever recover from it’s first ever recipient immediately going Imperial.

  15. Who would have thought that Trump was the most honest president with regard to America’s casus belli in its invasions.

Again, sitting here in Canada, trying to grasp how the third most populous country came up with this guy.

  17. He actually came out and said the quiet part out loud: The USA will name the next government and they will take over the oil production

  18. Venezuela:

    Everyone:

Trump: Venezuela drug boats, time to invade to stop drugs! This is about drug boats!

Trump immediately after: we’re gonna control Venezuela’s sweet sweet oil now!

So, for those defending this action due to the fact that he was a “narco-terrorist,” would it be okay for another country to find our president guilty of a crime and then come and scoop him up in the dead of night with special forces and whisk him away?
