I dont understand one thing. Why in the living fuck are Trump supporters celebrating? The Mauduron regime is still alive. Regime changes would mean full scale war and possible civil war, which would cause huge mess. What Trump probably wants is to install the same regime but allowing them to give oil to Usa. They probably will send Maurdon back to Venezuela after the deal. Only American elite and Venezuelan elite will benefits from this. The Venezuelan will suffer like they did before.

Question is: why? If it’s because of the “suddenly available abundance of oil from the largest oil reserves on the planet”, I have a few news for him.
While it’s true that VE has massive amounts of oil, it’s very hard to get by. Much of it is super massive heavy oil and must expensively be extracted from oil sands and oil shales.
Also, the oil industry is pretty much in shambles due to Chavez and Maduro. Currently, they have not really adequate refineries to process substantial amounts. Venezuelan facilities have not be serviced properly since Chavez times and are in a quite bad state. Production was further slowed down due to export sanctions.
The US has such refineries suitable for low-quality VE oil at their East cost, and also in Guyana, of which it is the protecting power. China has such refineries as well, fitting because it’s the main buyer of VE oil.
I’d not bet in any way that large scale oil production would resume anytime soon. That will take quite a time to restore (years).
But still: the amount of oils are immense. Difficult and expensive to produce, with lower earnings per barrel due to lower quality. But still, might be valuable in the future.
Especially for China. If (!) China still needs so much oil in the future. I mean, look at their hyperfast progress with renewables (and also upscaling their nuclear game).
For the US it would be quite expensive oil, only desirable in very strong demand times, which currently isn’t the case.
But oh well, he’ll find out himself in due time, I guess…
