Trump’s actions on this are heinous and indefensible. Trump is implicitly encouraging the worst kind of political violence and he is expressly attempting to further erode trust in any government entity that he does not personally claim responsibility for.
Unfortunately, this is a drop in the bucket for a man whose list of indefensible actions far out number any of his positive contributions and for a man whose supporters who, if they haven’t left him by now, will never leave him in the future.
Admitting that anything Trump does now is wrong is admitting that everything about Trump is wrong. MAGA’s egos are too fragile to start down that path.

Sadly, the people who need to hear that Trump truly is “depraved” have no fucking idea what depraved means, and using words they don’t know makes them feel more separated and isolated from the rest of society.
