    From the article:

    >An unlikely name is being floated to take charge of [U.S. moves in Venezuela](https://www.thedailybeast.com/trump-busted-making-up-venezuela-takeover-on-the-spot-wolff/) after [the Trump administration snatched the country’s leader](https://www.thedailybeast.com/nicolas-maduro-and-wife-cilia-arrive-in-new-york-after-trump-kidnapping/) and brought him to New York to face drug charges.

    >Hours after Saturday’s surprise attack, President Donald Trump told reporters the U.S. will seize Venezuela’s oil reserves and [“run” the country](https://www.thedailybeast.com/slurring-trump-says-us-will-run-venezuela-and-seize-oil/) for the foreseeable future, though he’s been vague on what exactly that means.

    >With Trump mostly relying on a small group of business insiders to handle foreign affairs after he gutted foreign policy infrastructure, the White House is considering giving Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller a key role overseeing post-Maduro operations in Venezuela, [The Washington Post](https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2026/01/04/us-venezuela-plan-trump-rubio-miller/) reported.

    >It’s not clear how any U.S. official can “run” a foreign country of 30 million people.

    >But to the extent that the administration plans to try—Trump said he’s “not afraid to have boots on the ground” if necessary—the more obvious choice would be Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who has spent much of his career as a Venezuela hawk and has emerged as the [face of the takeover](https://www.thedailybeast.com/viceroy-of-venezuela-rubio-confronted-over-whether-hes-de-facto-ruler/).

    >Rubio, however, already has his hands full as the nation’s top diplomat, acting administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development, and acting archivist for the National Archives and Records Administration.

    >That means the daily handling of Venezuela could fall to Miller, who is largely responsible for the president’s mass deportation drive, according to the Post.

    >The newspaper’s sources didn’t elaborate on what exactly the job would entail or what would qualify Miller to do it.

  4. But how is he going to convince all of the non-white non-balding Venezuelans to off themselves?

I still can’t fucking believe the US kidnapped the (albeit illegitimate) president of another country, and we’re claiming that we’re going to “run” a country of 30+ million people, and two days later we have absolutely no idea what the fuck that means.

  6. Can someone explain how you can tell a sovereign nation that a foreigner will now run your country just because you said so?

  7. We all know this situation is going to blow up in all of their faces. Do you think Trump knows that too and he’s positioning Miller to be the fall guy? Is Trump done with him?

  8. Ok, but can we force Stephen Miller to be there in person?

No way they’ll be able to set up a Green Zone like they did in Baghdad when Bush and Cheney took over Iraq and Paul Bremer ran it. With any luck Stephen Miller could be holed up in some shoddy bunker with insufficient security when Venezuela finally erupts into anarchy and consumes him.

  9. Let me guess, he’s going to try and set up ‘camps’ there for us to send all of the kidnapped/deported/etc. people to so that we can stop paying El Salvador and so they’re away from any semblance of legal help that could be had here.

  10. Miller is the embodiment of what it means to be a complete piece of shit. That quote from him would take an hour to unpack and refute. Putting him in charge of anything is a surreal tragedy.

*”An unlikely name is being floated…”* and it’s the guy who planned this entire thing.

Does Miller speak Spanish? Truck drivers in the U.S. must be proficient in English. At a minimum, the person in charge of Venezuela should be proficient in Spanish or do the rules not apply to power tripping white guys?

  13. YorickTheSkulls on

Miller can’t even handle living in a DC suburb without running away to a military base.

  14. I for one am fully behind sending Stephen Miller to run Venezuela. All by himself. Just nail his coffin shut while he’s sleeping and ship him UPS.

  15. TheBelgianGovernment on

They will run extermination camps for deportees, far away from the American public.

  16. Wasn’t Miller in Ukraine and in Gaza ? Not surprised that he’s now in charge. He has a bad track record

  17. Yes, by all means send him there. I’m sure it will all work out fine. Nothing is going to happen to him. He’ll be greeted as a liberator. /S

I, for one, think it’s a great idea to send Stephen Miller onto Venezuela to get those Socialists straightened out. He should be our only boots on the ground. I’m sure it will be great.

Good luck and God bless, Stephen!

  19. I can see him now in a pair of Manolo stilettos and MAGA panties singing “Don’t Cry for Me Venezuela” from the balcony of the presidential palace…

Trump is a pedophile. Let’s not forget. He’s desperately trying to make people forget with distraction after distraction.

  21. radicalporotta on

What exactly is this dumbfuck’s qualification other than hateful rhetoric? Is he going to deport all Venezuelans from there ?

  22. Miller’s Batman villain personality aside, this is probably the first step in throwing him under the bus as this Venezuela thing turns into an even bigger shit show.

  23. Rusalka-rusalka on

Makes sense that Miller would want to join his Nazi and white supremacist brethren in South America.
