This are becoming more and more common so I’m curious has this always been the case or is this a new development

An easier and legal way to make money would have been hiring her head out to advertisers.

A redditer will come in any moment with the “gotcha” of “Stopping women becoming prison guards in men’s prisons won’t stop it because wuttabout gay prison guards and gay prisoners? huh? huh? huh?”
Like they always do.

I seems increasingly obvious that the people who take these jobs are complete dipsticks

I avoid the daily mail so I haven’t read the article but isn’t she raping/sexually assaulting them not “intimate relationship”? I thought that you were unable to consent while in prison because of the power dynamics or something?

Exactly the reason why female prison officers weren’t (historically) employed to work in male prisons.

C’mon there is a power trip here with these women, they have high testosterone men foaming at the mouth rolling over on the floor for their attention and craving a piece and of course it will lead “dangerous liaisons“.
Comments so far deny the basics of human behaviour operating in these scenarios.

In an institution I worked at they decided to put a young female on a male-only floor despite not only her age but inexperience and lack of qualifications. She wasn’t working alone but as soon as one guy saw her he whipped it out and started jacking off in plain view. I left shortly after this so I never heard the fallout but felt very bad for her and angry that she was dumped in the deep end, hence why I had already made plans to leave at that point and the point I’m trying to make is people don’t know the half of what goes on of this nature.

If you are a big time criminal you can get some scank to get a job there and help you run stuff and make life more comfortable. You pay them some cash on top of their wage and sort them out if they get caught. It’s like a prison officers job but with real perks! There must be loads of big time guys in jail if you think about it.

Pretty sure there were a load of experienced prison officers let go during austerity years through voluntary redundancies. Surely that has contributed to this current state of affairs.

It’s rife. It’s why I left the service. I was working with uniformed criminals.
