  1. > Gersham said that, as a result of the lack of legal accountability for Jan. 6 and Trump’s return to power, the current president has remade the federal legal system in his image, largely with the help of FBI director Kash Patel and U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi.

    > “The federal attorney general and U.S. attorneys around the country, they’re all Trump’s MAGA loyalists and they’re doing Trump’s bidding,” Gershman said. “These are all Trump-appointed lawyers who are basically serving Trump. Anything Bondi does is directed by Trump. Everything Patel does is directed by Trump. So American justice, federal criminal justice, it’s a mockery. It’s a sham. Trump is running the show.”

It’s fucking disgusting is what it is.

  2. > Evidence Trump tried to overturn the election

There are two kinds of people: the kind who watched him do it, and the kind who lie about it.

  3. This is why trust in institutions keeps dropping. You can’t keep saying something is unprecedented and then respond with basically nothing. People notice that gap.

I was so so disappointed at the outcomes of the January 6th hearings.

It was all “Ha! Look! We proved it!”

And then no action. Everything was snails pace slow walks and here we are again.

They made a great show of it, but our congress is a limp, weak, excuse for a pair of governing bodies.

But the fascists learned from it, that no matter what they do, Americans will do nothing against them and even elect them again, if they do just enough fearmongering about trans people and immigrats.

Time for general strike? Combine this with the Epstein files it’s clear our system has failed

Yeah, thats because Republicans, especially their constituency, are pieces of shit. They vote to cause harm to other people. The only reason they change their mind at all is because Trump did something to hurt them.

Its all good because eventually this will get fixed. I look forward to when it does.

  8. No consequences after the civil war. Nixon… nothing. Reagan nothing. Bush nothing.

    Christian nationalists never gave up.

  9. What we learned is that P. T. Barnum was right. There is a “sucker born every minute” and in today’s world they identify themselves as MAGA!

  10. We should have nailed his fat ass to the wall on Jan 7 2021. Him and the co-conspirators in Congress. We should have gone after them and saved the flunkies until afterwards.

This has pissed me off for 5 years.

  11. Trump and his team learned a lot. They learned that they can get away with almost anything. They’ve been proving it every day.

The evidence was overwhelming before it even happened. Am I the only one with a working perception in this country? Fucking hell.

Democrats didn’t have the courage to indict or press charges until it was too late.

Everyone saw on TV what happened and nobody did shit.

Further proof that if you’re rich you can just delay justice, “take the knee”, and run out the clock instead of facing a fair trial.

Dems are honestly unforgivable for allowing this to happen. I’ve always hated the ‘both sides’ argument, or the idea that Dems are to blame for Conservatives being awful disgusting people.

But it’s past that point where I can’t deny it any longer. Silence and inaction is as good as complicity. They had FOUR years to hammer the message home that the GOP is essentially a violent, murderous, psychotic death cult. Trump is a child raping paedophile. He stole national secrets and hid them in his fucking bathroom.

Democrats refused to take the kid gloves off and brought a stick to a sword fight. Hell they didn’t even bring a stick, if anything they brought a sword and handed it over to the GOP. They have been utterly and completely more than useless. They have allowed this to happen. They should have been hammering this message home for all four years and throwing charge after charge at Trump and his criminal network.

The entire process of him coming to power should have been a complete investigation from top to bottom exposing all his lies, his crimes, and throwing him in prison. Fuck decorum, fuck due process, fuck civility because GOP have (and were always going to) throw it out the window themselves the moment they won and took back power anyway. Dems should have used every tool in the toolbox to prevent that happening.

The last election needed to be treated as if a group of terrorists was attempting to hostilely take over government, because that’s exactly what it was. The GOP is essentially a party of terrorists. They have trashed their own country and they’re looking to do the same planet wide to serve their billionaire and tech overlords.

Instead the Democrats gave the meekest and most feeble of pushbacks ever and I don’t know what the fuck they were playing at. They are either pathetically stupid and weak, or utterly complicit in the whole disgusting ordeal.

And this still makes me SICK to my stomach. I’m fairly well disgusted with half our population.

He is out of control….,jus got off calls telling both republican senators to pay attention. I know one personally and can talk to him like we were in college. I asked both ‘”Why are you complicit with him? You are afraid aren’t you?” they wouldn’t answer.
