Have we reached the point yet where we can’t reverse our dependency on the US, even if we wanted to?

Maybe it was a mistake to put ourselves in a dependent relationship with a country many times more powerful than us

Palantir is the fifth column of the current US regime which in turn is clearly under the spell of the Russian regime…
We should cut all ties with them

Ah good news, so not only are we now more indebted to the yanks
but also Palantir is owned by a man that when asked ‘should humanity endure’ couldn’t really answer yes with confidence, a known sociopathic tech bro who doesn’t give a shit about people
This country truly just doesn’t care anymore, i’m sure a few MoD heads got some money out of it though, cunts, to a man

With no competitive process either. Just handing fasciats a contract for our military data, no questions asked

I work for a very well known company. Palantir did a load of stuff for us about 5 years ago. It was crap and no-one uses it anymore.

Healthcare, Defence, Policing. Wonder what else we can give to them? Social care? Work and Pensions? Digital ID?

This is why the MoD needs a kick in the ballsack.
A fucking direct contract too, zero bidding… Just “here you go dubious American company, have money and all our data”

Of course the (part US-funded) Brexit “sovrinty” lobby has no problem with it.

Palantir keeps infecting Europe.
They’re present here in Norway too.
Our governments must either be evil or profoundly stupid to not realise the danger here.

Palantir is an evil company. This is not a good thing

We’re giving defense deals to friends of Trump.
Are we sure that’s entirely wise?

I mean nothing bad happened looking into a Palantir…right?

As a fan of Person of Interest, it’s interesting to see it play out in real life. Now we just need a rival machine

But it’s a total conspiracy to mention how Starmer has brutally cracked down on an anti Israeli speech in the UK.

Jesus, fuck, I ran an UK Based Software co, and we could (scale up) to do this sort of shite, having working with some large co’s etc before, and I suspect for a lot less. I know so so many smart people that we could pull in after 40 years in the business..
But no bidding, no nothing.. just give to an american company that could switch shit off whenever.
We are being directly punished for being too dependent on the US, so what do we do.. wire that shit in harder, and this crap makes it impossible to say no to Trump.
>Under the partnership, the MoD said Palantir would invest £1.5 billion and create 350 new jobs in the U.K. In return, it said it would work with Palantir to “identify opportunities … worth up to £750 million over the next five years.”
I bet there is a lot of B, and not a lot of A going to happen here..

Holy fucking shit. Peter Thiel. What could *possibly* go wrong?

unfortunately I suspect our *low low tariffs*™ are tied into this kind of relationship. Absolutely crazy as it pretty much puts us at the whims of the yanks and even worse, the owner of this grim outfit. Another post on here asking if the yanks could ‘do a Maduro’ in the UK – answer is, they already have us by the balls…
