Trump-appointed judge David Novak wants to know why Lindsey Halligan continues to use US Attorney authority and title in EDVA despite a binding ruling that she was illegally appointed.

Her homework is due in writing within 7 days

    > The Court hereby DIRECTS Ms. Halligan to file, within seven (7) days
of the issuance of this Order, a pleading explaining the basis for Ms. Halligan’s identification of
herself as the United States Attorney, notwithstanding Judge Currie’s contrary ruling. She shall also set forth the reasons why this Court should not strike Ms. Halligan’s identification of herself
as United States Attorney from the indictment in this matter. Ms. Halligan shall further explain
why her identification does not constitute a false or misleading statement.

It’s about time that the system, or what’s left of it, responds in force to these clowns.

This isn’t even in United States v. Comey; it’s a garden-variety carjacking case that was indicted on December 2.

The fact that the blue-ink signature is that of a Virginia Commonwealths Attorney who is also serving as a Special Assistant US Attorney makes me realize that courts are weird, yo.

  4. These judges need to stop sending requests to explain. Just declare them in contempt every time. The Republican party and their stooges have complete contempt for the law and do not give a shit what a judge says. They need to be treated as hostile every time.

  5. Because the rules and accountability haven’t existed since 2016, what is congress gonna do? Send strongly worded letters? Oh no! Better watch out paper cuts hurt.

Wonder how many surgeries I can get paid for before someone makes me explain why I’m continuing to perform surgery after I was told to knock it off. And I wonder how long that explanation gives me to keep doing some more surgeries before they make me come in and explain it again.

  7. Can we please stop having long waits between court sessions?

The next meeting is 8:00 am tomorrow. Bring a good excuse, or a bag with your clothes and toothbrush.

Judges and our votes are our only hope. I thought that I already asked for her disbarment.

She’s like that hot chick that hides in the basement so she won’t get fired for being completely inadequate for her job.

Keep sitting in that toilet, Queen.

  9. All she has to say is she serving as a direct order from Trump and its a official act from the president so im untouchable and immune. Because the Supreme Court has crowned him king.

  10. Because there are no consequences. If someone actually holds one of these people accountable, they might take you seriously.

“Because I don’t believe in your authority, judge… Anyway, I’ve got this motion I want you to rule on…”

So, it’s a nice start, but the judge could also be (i) dismissing these cases with prejudice, and (ii) ruling that they were filed fraudulently and therefore the defendant’s attorney’s fees are to be borne by the prosecution and Halligan jointly; and (iii) the Virginia Bar could disbar Halligan. That is a purely civil remedy by the bar ethics committee and doesn’t need any court or executive approval.
