  1. Looks like Gallego just enforced the ‘ice cap’ on Trump’s real estate ventures.

    >Sen. Ruben Gallego said Tuesday that he was introducing a resolution to block President Donald Trump from invading Greenland.

    >“WAKE UP,” Gallego, D-Ariz., wrote on the social media site X, as the Trump administration ratcheted up rhetoric about the United States taking over Greenland, which is a self-governing Danish territory.

    >“Trump is telling us exactly what he wants to do. We must stop him before he invades another country on a whim,” Gallego wrote. “I’m introducing a resolution to block Trump from invading Greenland. No more forever wars.”

Gallego on Monday introduced an amendment to the Senate Defense Appropriations bill to prohibit the use of funds for military force against Greenland.

Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., told reporters on the Hill on Tuesday, “If I’m a European member of NATO, I would reassess my participation in the endeavor if NATO countries are being invaded by Donald Trump.”

    >Asked if NATO countries would have to defend Greenland against the United States, Murphy said, “Of course, yes.”

    >“That’s what Article 5 says. Article 5 did not anticipate that the invading country would be a member of NATO,” Murphy said. “We’re laughing, but this is not actually something to laugh about now because I think he’s increasingly serious.”

He’s not going to stop doing shit like this, just impeach the guy. 2 republicans in the house who voted to impeach in 2021 are still there.

  4. Now just watch Republicans vote against a resolution designed to save Nato from extinction.

  5. Bondi: Semantics, justice Alito. Let’s play golf. Have you seen winter golf courses? Red Ball on white snow? Pathfinder goggles. No polar bears.

  6. We need a joint resolution of both houses.

Also need to censure Kegsbreath and Trump for what they did in the Caribbean to those boats. A separate censure for Venezuela.

Follow that up after the mid term elections with impeachment and conviction. The man and his goons are a menace to society.

  7. Good thing the president is not forced to listen to congress.

For all the idiots here who think an impeachment WITH conviction would result in anything, the military loves Trump. Step out into the real world, they all just got 1,760$ checks.

  8. I can’t believe this needs to be explained but:
    1. The US is not going to attack Denmark.
    2. The bluster from Trump is to give encouragement to Greenlanders for a vote of independence, and a warning to Denmark not to ignore the results of such a vote.
    3. Once the vote for independence happens, Greenland will need an alternative means of economic support because the economy is not self-sustaining.
    4. Then they will enter into something like a “compact of free association” with the US that will involve economic support and strategic cooperation.
    5. Denmark knows this, and their bellicosity is designed to discourage the Greenlanders from voting for self-determination.
    6. Most other informed people also know this, and are spouting off in bad faith.

  9. I’m sure Schumer will rally senate Dems to attempt the bare minimum to stop this, then convince them to keep funding the government while Trump destroys NATO and starts WW3

Can a reporter ask, why take over ally territory that is there to support america in need?

And another question, why take over Venezuela if tarrifs were your negotiation tactic and other countries paid the tarrifs?

  11. The axis and allies board game in 2046 is going to be crazy thanks to right wing voters who hate black and brown and LGBQT people more than they love their country

  12. Just take a look at their justification on the conservative sub. “The ice caps are opening and we need to defend from China and Russia” “I’m sure the people of Greenland would love to be a part of the us, especially if we start making jobs there” and so forth. Absolutely no talk of the ensuing sanctions, or how our military bases will be explained, zero trade, if imagine the world countries would recall some of that 40- some odd trillion debt, what happens then? Do we shut off from the world?
