  1. From the article:

Danish soldiers will be required to shoot first and ask questions later if the United States invades Greenland, under the army’s rules of engagement.

On Wednesday, the Danish defense ministry confirmed the existence of a 1952 rule requiring soldiers to “immediately” counter-attack invading forces without awaiting orders.

The defense ministry also said that the rule “remains in force”.

European allies are holding urgent talks on how to respond to a possible U.S. attack on Geeenland, a move experts say would probably mark the end of the NATO alliance.

Simple strategy. Take the 200 US troops stationed there hostage. US doesn’t’ shoot their own hostages.

  3. As they should. We have no right to Greenland or any other country for that matter. These assholes in charge though, they really are looking to kick off WW3.

“The President of Peace” my ass. “America First” my ass.

  4. I just can’t imagine any US general agreeing that ending the military’s stranglehold over the globe for Greenland is worth it.

Honestly, what 30 year plus 4 star is going to sign off on this?

War would be terrible and should be avoided, but the regime isn’t afraid of war. Every country has a right to defend itself from this evil.

  6. This isn’t bravado, it’s legit national defense posture, you don’t tell NATO allies to back off unless you mean it.

Sure, let’s get into a shooting war with Denmark. That’s really going to bring housing prices down.

    >Mr Barrot suggested he had received assurances from [Marco Rubio](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/marco-rubio), the US secretary of state, that Washington was not planning an “invasion”.

Rubio told congress that there was no planned invasion of Venezuela. What credibility should he have with foreign leaders?

More declarative statements like this need to be made. The orange menace has his boot on Americans at home. Hoping other countries want to avoid this.

  10. European NATO nations should fill every dock and berth in Greenland ASAP. Trump says that Russia and China are threatening it and they should listen to him.

They should station thousands of troops in Greenland as a defense against China and Russia. They should encircle the America military base to protect us from Russia and China.

America will not open fire on NATO troops. That is further than Congress would tolerate. Call trump’s bluff, please.

  11. As they should — they absolutely have the right to defend their country from trump and the rest of the fucking nazis.

  12. This is so fucking sad we have got to this point for the fucking ego of an elderly orange toddler and the ever expanding pocket books of billionaires.

  13. Any traitorous soldiers following orders to go after Greenland or any other country unprovoked deserve whatever they get.

  14. Putin must be laughing his ass off. He simply couldn’t have asked for a more useful idiot.

  15. Wonder how many dead American troops congress will accept before they put an end to this insanity
