Well this is certainly some spin – so he is basically saying that being kept locked up at home and only being allowed out when permitted by correctional officers will result in him being a better MP?
Isn’t he basically admitting that by saying it will make him more focused he is basically admitting that he already wasn’t a good MP.
Also, it’s very hard for people in his electorate (more than 34,000 square kilometres from Millicent to Tailem Bend) to see how it will make him a better MP if he is only allowed out on limited visits, and he can’t really do much advocacy work given that Parliament is not returning until after the election.
