Its amazing how much he has destroyed the reputation and power of the US.
They literally can’t stop shooting themselves in the foot.
Like imagine you’re a policy advisor in Moscow or Beijing, and you’ve spent decades coming up with elaborate plans, only for America to destroy themselves.
Imagine the parties in the Kremlin and Beijing rn.
Absolutely unreal.
Also if the Americans could read, they’d be pissed about the Tariffs, but oh well.
Time to grab your popcorn and watch the shitshow 🍿

When has the whole world become so anti-ambition? Trump is trying to do well for his country and secure a whole bunch of strategic land for his own people. One would think the Danes would be negotiating properly. How can they turn down a $1 trillion offer for Greenland? If that’s not enough they need to state their price. Either that or they can face the full force of the US military.
Imagine if Australia had a leader that is as strong, brave and determined as Trump. Instead we have a weak, grossly incompetent Albanese

We can’t rely on or trust a country where any moment they might elect a guy with this level of childish irresponsibility. Even once he’s gone, we can’t trust America.
And I know that every time I or someone else says this on here, we get people saying, “but what’s the alternative?”. That’s only a persuasive argument if you even think that relying on the United States is itself still an alternative at all. If it isn’t, *and it isn’t*, then we have to find something else, regardless of the temporary difficulty. Because the status quo is not sustainable.
And really, all it will take is for him to look at a map and see the size of our country, and see our population, and get told how important Australia is for America’s satellite coverage, and maybe also that we have rare earth minerals and uranium, and we could be next. If you think it couldn’t happen… well, so did Denmark. And if you think that other Americans would stop him, well… So did Denmark.

Orange man bad. We should definitely break our ties with the fascist and unreliable US, it so bad they’re trying to strengthen their strategic position. They’re also disappearing people for no reason at all and like want to start a civil war to seize power. Plus like the head of ICE was seen wearing a coat, literal SS officer stuff.
I’m truly terrified of the US, we must divorce from them immediately.
No I haven’t at all considered who would benefit from me having this narrative planted in my head. I see a lot of consensus online and from the ABC so I’m confident im right.

What’s to stop Trump deciding that Christmas and Cocos islands are vital to US interests? Or maybe Norfolk island?
Are we going to just hand them over?
If the USA can try and coerce the whole of the EU what is stopping them from doing the same to Australia?
And if the US is going to coerce and bully all it’s allies then how is it any better than China?
I’m not pro China in any way, but at this point the only logic for being a US “ally” is that it’s better the devil you know than the one you don’t.
I fail to see exactly what the US long term strategy is. Isolationism again?

What I don’t understand, is how is he not humiliated by any of this? I’d turn inside out if I made myself look like this much of a clown.

Even Canada has sent troops… So this is our moment… Do we tuck our tail between our legs, or do stand for up decency… Do we stand for anything at all?

Unfortunately, we all know the answer.
