  1. The car companies have had 10+ years to get their act together on developing and delivering effective electric vehicles. Since they chose not to do that, or rather chose to build compliance vehicles (e.g the Chevy Bolt) that were EVs but were built down to a price, or built a nice vehicle and then chose to only sell the top (profitable?) trims (e.g F150 Lightning).

    Kind of reminds me of the period where Japanese cars became popular because they were fuel efficient and low maintenance compared to the cars available in this market. The car companies basically gave up on making normal cars, and focused on heavy SUVs and trucks where they could get a better profit margin.

    So sorry, not sorry.
