No amount of spin will change the perception of many progressive Australians that the Greens, on 20 January 2026, officially fought to protect the Nazis and Hizb-ut-Tahrir.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a Jewish person targeted by terrorists for celebrating Hanukkah at Bondi Beach in December 2025, an Indigenous elder attacked by far-right neo-Nazi militants at Camp Sovereignty in August 2025 or a victim of a horrific home invasion or attempted murder by teens in the post-COVID youth crime waves we’ve seen – the Greens will somehow always be against you. Whether it be opposing Adult Crime Adult Time, opposing legislation that bans hate groups like the NSN or opposing measures aimed to combat antisemitism and terrorism – the Greens will always fight in favour of the bad guys. Never the victims. Truly evil group of people.

The Greens really have a hard time getting used to not being able to do their usual pro Hamas propaganda.

Do the greens get paid per protest or something why does it always circle back to protesting with them

“Draconian” has to be the most overused word in Australian politics.

They can’t be serious can they?
The Greens have always supported de-platforming anyone whose views do not align with their own under the guise of protecting vulnerable minorities.

Disappointing the Greens are more worried about protests than taking this as an opportunity to make appropriate amendments to include the queer community, which is what many people were asking for. Now they are excluded from the conversation entirely with the Liberals willing to play ball.

If anti-Zionism is political critique, then anti-Islamism must be treated the same way.

Probably the only sensible thing the greens have ever saidÂ

The Greens have supported every crackdown on free expression I’ve seen since I’ve been paying attention. Now they’re crying foul.
They don’t believe in free speech, they believe in their individual issues and will use speech restrictions when it suits them and they can get away with it. Zero credibility on this issue.
