You just have to ask yourself why we have a problem requiring strengthening of racial hatred laws now when we didn’t for most of our history. It’s not a random occurrence and it’s not a historical correction. Go back to the 1980s and these laws plainly weren’t needed.Â
None of the answers are pleasant and point to problems that won’t be solved by policing speech more.

I feel like groups that support war crimes by either terrorist organizations or extremist religious groups including the Israeli government, should be persecuted under hate crime legislation.
This should include parading around IDF soldiers like they did that time on Bondi Beach.
