An ABC NEWS Verify investigation has revealed that some of those involved behind the scenes of the March for Australia (MFA) anti-immigration protests previously tried to recruit people to the now disbanded Neo-Nazi White Australia Party.

That is why this was called a neo-Nazi march…

The people who organised it were adjacent to the NSN, and the original 31st of August marches got a lot of softball coverage and promotion in the mainstream media, despite it being obvious that the neo-Nazis saw it as their moment and their event.

Just a quick look on X before, and it would have been easy to see the NSN and their allies talk about how it was their march, telling non-Anglo right wing types like Avi Yemeni, Rukshan and Drew Pavlou to fuck off, this wasn’t for them.

  2. “Perth MFA event organiser Baylie Bergroth, who ABC NEWS Verify unmasked in August last year after he shared pro-Hitler and antisemitic posts on social media, has since publicly encouraged people to join White Australia.”

That’s kinda ironic since the attempts to start “Heil Hitler” chants and other nazi trash rhetoric was loudly booed and condemned by the vast majority of the people attending the rally in Perth last year.

“I have a feeling in a few years people are going to be doing what they always do when the economy tanks. They will be blaming immigrants and poor people.”

It’s funny how in tough economic times, a lot of people will find an easy scapegoat in people who don’t look like them rather than look to fix the structural failings that actually lead to the crisis in the first place.
But I guess an understanding of economic systems is a lot harder than going “brown people bad.”

  4. And here comes the neolib propaganda, right on cue ahead of Australia Day. It’s all so tiresome isn’t it? If you want to disregard an entire movement full of very legitimate concerns because of some associations of a couple of its organisers be my guest, but don’t get upset when that same logic is applied to movements you support.

March for Australia is a manifestation of working class discontent. It’s pretty dsgusting that just like last time the ABC is pushing these negative associations. Don’t be tricked!!

They also had White Australia (which was meant to be the electoral wing of the National Socialist Network) figures speaking publicly and openly and the NSN was involved in organisation, so no surprise
