At some point, you’re going to have to trade that keyboard for a tool belt — a hammer, a saw, a welding rod, a tape measure, blueprints, and certifications. Middle management jobs are disappearing, not expanding. AI already absorbed the spreadsheet pushers and meeting managers. The work that survives is the work that actually builds, fixes, and maintains the real world.

While this is terrible, DOE loan guarantees for large transmission builds at Fed rates, not commercial bond rates, would be welcome in a period of load growth.
