  1. It was a picture of a child that pretty much ended the American public’s support for the Vietnam war.

  2. How long until the administration starts telling us that blue hats like that are a symbol of some Colombian drug cartel?

Once upon a time the controversy of the week was Obama asking for Dijon mustard. Now it’s secret police kidnapping 5 year olds with Spider-Man back packs. Can we go back to Dijon mustard days? Please?

  4. It has the same power as the photograph of terrified Elian Gonzalez looking at an armed US agent in 2001. That picture made a lot of people’s hearts hurt. To use children as lures is evil. This child’s brother came home to find them gone and there were people at the home begging them to let the child stay. They were here legally as well.

  5. News doesn’t do its job anymore. Only people that see this are the ones actively looking for news

  6. He wasnt held by ice lmao. Libs are always lying to appease their narrative. His father ran away from him so a cop stayed with the child so he’s not alone. Then ICE tried to return him to his mother but his mother refused custody. So they brought him to his father in detention.

  7. They will just lie about it. It might convince some to change their minds , but not enough.

Tbh that little kid looks like he’s got more emotional regulation than most ICE officers.

  9. It exposes the lie that they are going after “the worst of the worst” and have no moral guardrails.

When you see a violent hand holding onto a kid like this, you know this has nothing to do with protecting anyone. I hope this ends people’s delusion about this administration. The baby looks so afraid, sad, and confused. I hate this.

Autopsy photos of every ICE victim need to be published. We need to show these victims at our protests.

  12. Please we saw scores of kids this age gunned down at Sandy Hook and the country barely missed a beat.

    We are soulless.

The article asks “can an image like this change history?”

Answer: no because it’s behind a paywall now

  14. If I have to sign up for an account for Jeff Bezos’ owned Washington Post to view the picture- that’s a paywall. Why are you giving the Washington Post anymore clicks?

  15. How the hell does anyone support this shit? How many cowards are in this world right now? I know about 23 of Americans are yellow belly Lilly livered cowards. The politicians are straight up traitors to their oaths. America I no More. We are now a slum.

  16. Where it can really have an impact is when someone who is maga or ex maga goes on Fox News and talks about this in a honest way. That has the ability to persuade people.

This article forces you to sign in. It is behind a wall.

How about we start by not putting articles like this behind a wall? The media needs to earn our trust back. This is not how they do that or how they help save the world..

  18. Is there nothing we can do stop this? I’m Canadian but if there’s anything I can do. Someone let me know

  19. If the Time magazine cover of Trump superimposed next to the infamous picture of the little girl crying after being separated from her family in Trump 1.0, yeah, this won’t do it either
