Because an old-style Queensland National stuck in the Sir Joh days will *of course* increase the Nationals’ paltry vote share. /s

Littleproud, in all his wisdom, to try and be a political big boy and force a Lib spill, has managed to do it to himself. Keep walking into those rakes, guys. That’ll win back those voters.
I wonder which Libs will be willing to welcome them back, as it seems some are very angry with the Nationals. What little strength of stability they had has shattered, and they might return to the Libs, bashed, bruised, and divided. In the end, either Ley goes, or Littleproud goes, or both go, but I see the coalition likely reforming in all cases, ready to throw a fit and threaten another divorce.

It’s happened – there is a knifing 🔪
Though tbh I am surprised that they are doing this before the liberals have their own spill

Littleproud is dead.
I just hope Sussan outlives him.

It’s all but certain: the rates are going up in Feb.

This is Boyce’s last gambit. If he loses, he’ll likely immediately quit from the Nationals and join ON. Channel 7 revealed Boyce skipped all of the Nationals party room meetings in Canberra last week.
Canavan is up re-election in the Senate in 2028, and being number 2 on the LNP ticket will result in him most likely failing to win a seat. The long-term play is for Landry to resign from Parliament later this year, Canavan to run in the Capricornia by-election, and then he’ll run for the Nationals Leadership.

Well he has a hat, so he’s got that going for him at least.
