Canadian here, our primary exports are naturally compatible with large manufacturing countries like China. Can anyone explain what the UK on the other hand gains from liberalizing trade with China beyond de-risking from the US, which Starmer doesn’t seem too keen on doing? As in which interest groups gain from this deal?
Or is this the continuation of “look how freely we can ink trade deals post brexit?”
