Well I guess Angus Taylor shall be the next leader of the Liberal Party

Smart move though – can then knife Taylor when they lose the next election

  2. I am so disappointed.

    1) The drama from the fallout would have been so entertaining and funny to watch with a glass of wine

    2) Would have contributed to further destabilising and destroying this stupid party once and for all

I wonder when the Liberal party will get rid of the incompetence.

We just need a solid leader to unify to create a suitable opposition

So disappointing. What a shame. Liberal party is dead, enjoy attracting boomers only.

Make no mistake, insiders did this and told Hastie he can’t run. The young patriots wanted Hastie

  5. Well done, great move Angus!

Angus Taylor as leader of the liberals will be a disaster for the Liberals.

Will make them wish for a loss as small as Dutton achieved.

I don’t think it’s going to fully reverse the bleed to ON but it’ll definitely help. Even Taylor’s own seat is at risk.

Also, does Taylor have partial Indian or Middle Eastern ancestry in him by any chance? Or is he just tanned a lot?

Lmfao the thumbnail of Chris Minns – is this a satire attempt at recent online sentiment of the most Liberal Premier NSW has ever had?

well now it comes down to whether Hastie supporters will support Taylor (still a terrible choice for the libs) or remain with Ley

  9. Fuck yeah. Taylor’s gonna be so much funnier putting his foot in his mouth and fucking everything up all the time. Can’t wait.

  10. Suddenly, this becomes the critical week for Ley to turn her leadership around.

If she can spin this all as her staring down the Nats + her internal critics and coming out decisively on top, and then rates are lifted on Tuesday (as expected) to put the government on the backfoot, then who knows what the polls through Feb say.

Not predicting it by any means, but if she is ever going to right the ship it is now.

  11. The thing that gets me about Taylor is that on paper, he should be a Liberal powerhouse: Rhodes scholar, McKinsey alumni, agribusiness founder. This all screams superb business acumen.

And yet his performance in the lead up to the election can be described as somewhere between mediocre and abysmal.
