If Hastie and Taylor are answer to the Lib’s woes, then they’re seriously asking the wrong question.

Honestly, pretty gross behaviour to have these talks the day of your former colleague’s funeral.

idk man, i sort of think the existence of the coalition means a moderate leader of the Liberals is always on borrowed time, especially in opposition.
A big part of me believes that moving towards the right is their only feasible shot at electability. Let’s not forget how it worked for them in 2013.

The best thing I’ve heard people say about Hastie is that he’s ex-military.
I haven’t heard anyone say anything good about Taylor.
Pick whoever you want, Libs. It’s not like it matters.

This title is spot on. Neither of these guy will whip the swing voters in their favour. Poor choices from a poor pool of options

They need a kirribilli agreement like Hawke/Keating and Howard/Costello. They always worked out in the end.

Hastie would get them the best election results but it’s a sinking ship, and they’re both just politicians, there’s nothing unique about what either of them would do.
LNP is the political mercenary party, I think everyone is on a consensus with that now.
One nation is too but most haven’t worked that out yet.
Labor and such are too but there’s a lot more ideology on that side of politics, not good ideology but still ideology.

They would suit the times, if the times were the 1950s.

Anyone think there could be the first ever co opposition leader come from this? Is that even possible 😂

Two private school knobs can’t agree on who is the bigger knob.
I would suggest they ask their wives, but I doubt they are the kind of people who ask women for their opinions.

It’s practically impossible to work out which would be worse!
At least they’re a hair follicle better than Tony or Scott – if that’s actually possible.
Fruit of a poisonous tree is a better analogy.

Sadly, if you look overseas at the UK, USA, and even some EU countries, both Taylor and Hastie suit the times very well.

Trouble is, people don’t vote for, they vote against.
For those hating Labor, Greens, or “the left” those scarecrows do just fine.

Hastie a Neoliberal Creationist, who has expressed views against Abortion Rights and Gay Marriage… and Angus Taylor, who I don’t know much about, but others tell me he’s not very competent.
These are the cream of the crop in the Liberal Party leadership stakes. Further right than Dutton, or further right than Dutton! If you don’t like it you can always go full Trump supporter and vote for Pauline Hanson.

This is ALL THE HOPE the Right Wing in Australia has to offer. It’s a stark division between the above, and the Teals/Ley combo. Good luck.
