If you were against Alberta separating wouldn’t you prefer to be relatively informed on the folks behind it and thus better able to inform/discuss with other users?

If the contingency fees weren’t valid, then that tells you everything you need to know about Rath, and if they were valid, then he must not be a very good lawyer.
Didn’t bother getting past the paywall for this one. Thought I’d brush up on this looney-tune since I last peeked at him a few months back. Yup, stil Q-anon batshit crazy.
I really wish rural Alberta wasn’t as stupid and bigoted as they are. I wish it was simply me being prejudiced/biased with wildly incorrect assumptions. I wish recent events in the province weren’t what they were.
Maybe I’m tainted by my personal experience where a new young teacher came to my kid’s school. Gave a failing mark on content written several grade levels above what was required (with no AI or adult support, mind you). Why? First, I reviewed the paper myself in full, nothing to warrant the given grade, nowehere close to it. Then, some quick and easy doxxing and I saw she came from a small, completely homogenous rural area. She simply could not understand content at that level and definitely could not accept that someone without white skin like her could have a functioning brain or speak-a the Engrish.
Loser made me waste my time to ask school administration to provide alternate reviewers per the board’s appeal process. Acknowleding such a grade was highly unusual for a known top performer, they complied, the test was then graded in line with the typical A-level marks. The administration was also kind enough to confirm they reviewed the incident in greater detail and the teacher will no longer be continuing at this school because she is not aligned with the standards the establishments holds itself to.
I really wish our province could hold itself to higher standards. Unfortunately, our standards have clearly been dragged down into the mud. How long before our school curriculum is replaced entirely with Fox “news” and “News”max, notwithstanding and all.

Note that Rath is a *co-*founder of the “Alberta Prosperity Project” though. The other co-founder, Mitch Sylvestre, is [apparently motived by](https://www.nationalobserver.com/2026/01/29/news/world-according-man-behind-albertas-separatism-petition) the belief that the…
