After negotiations with SpaceX, SpaceX has limited the speed at which Starlink terminals are allowed to operate, which restricts their use on drones. This speed limit can be lifted when the terminals are authorized and registered as part of a brigade’s official equipment.

This is extremely good news
Awesome news
Only after they’re called out. Musk sucks
Simple and clever.
If the US is considering war with NATO over security concerns about Greenland, with Russia as the reason, Starlink better not be fucking supporting the Russians WAGING WAR.
Traitorous blood money pocketing swine
*”and the war unraveled for me on my screen”*
~~~ a very happy Musk in early 2022.
Really how safe is it to use Star Link? Musk may be giving the information to Putin just for free.
Do you trust Musk though? Fingers crossed.
They could black list any terminal that enters Russia unless it was registered by Ukraine
Disgusting that this even needed to be negotiated. The sooner musk goes to hell the better.
dont tell musk. If these russian starlink drones is back within short time, its likely musk being a russian asset
Musk is the best! Thanks so musk!
Which means that starlink is able to determine the groundspeed of their terminals with some degree of accuracy. Wonder how they determine it, if it’s not through gnss data.
Im not a conspiracy nut, but seems like a pretty big coincidence on the russia temp ceasefire on the power grid…
I.guess not.It’s a boring conversation anyway. I just came here to keep up with the war and watch Russians running around.
Not the best solution. “Reduce speed to less than 75 km/h to restore connection?”
They fly even without Starlink. They need it at the final stage for more accurate guidance by the operator. I don’t think it’s too difficult to reduce speed upon arrival so that the operator can lock onto the target
Is 75kmh even fast enough for an aircraft that size to stay in the air?
Does Starlink know the location of all the terminals ? Like, if Musk turned evil, could he just give a location of every Ukrainian terminal to Russia to use in guiding bombs to ?
Can someone explain to me what does this mean?
It is highly unlikely, or at least suspect, that Elon Musk would do anything to make other people gain a benefit without himself getting a benefit or boost. He is not trustworthy, and I wish Ukraine was developing their own more reliable alternative to anything related to Musk.
This will last until Elon understands it hurts the Russians more and he’ll personally undo the change without telling anyone.
