>Shadow treasurer Ted O’Brien says it is his “assumption” that fellow frontbencher and key leadership contender Angus Taylor still supports Sussan Ley.

This is so frustrating. Australia is lacking a decent opposition to hold the Albanese government accountable… seriously a pack of idiots these liberals.

Honestly no matter what happens it’s going to be hilarious.
Either they roll Sussan for Angus and prove they’ve learned nothing from the past 4 years and go even further right.
Or they don’t and after months of white anting and planning etc they keep Sussan and admit they don’t have anyone better.

Funny. The media were all saying yesterday that a challenge would happen sometime in the next few days.

The amazing thing about Australian politics is that key leadership contenders saying they won’t challenge means that they never turn around and do it next party meeting. /s
