Am I the only one that finds it weird that they went out of their way to specifically call for one alternative?

Why do people keep shilling the Gripen? Lovely aircraft, but if you really want to beef up Canada’s military, then the F-35 is the obvious choice.Â
If you match the two aircraft up in aerial combat, it’s no contest. The F-35 can kill the Gripen well before it’s in visual range
