So he wants to intentionally worsen the housing crisis, while simultaneously creating/increasing a rift between homeowners (boomers) and would-be homeowners (millennials/Gen X) ?
I guess anything to divide the nation into multiple feuding camps. Is there any area he’s missed? Division by race, by generation, by class, by culture, by status, by wealth?
This way lies national disintegration.
That’s what they’ve been doing. When the Fed prints up money, that’s more money chasing assets. That’s what the whole deal is about the Fed – Trump wants the money printer started. He wants a 1% interest rate in a 3% inflation environment. Lower interest rates results in higher asset prices.
It’s all about manipulating price discovery using printed up money. And then they pretend asset inflation isn’t inflation. That printed up money seems to settle within the economy as capital gains.
Gold and silver seem to be saying that fiscal mismanagement will lead to the government being *unable* to turn off that printer, and an never ending need for new money is a Ponzi.
The housing affordability issue started because the Fed was instituting “yield curve control” in debt markets in an abandonment of free markets.
