  1. From the article:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) had her latest win over the last week when her endorsed candidate in a crowded New Jersey special primary election, Analilia Mejia, performed above expectations.

Ocasio-Cortez, who has amassed large crowds alongside Sen. Bernie Sanders for their “Fighting Oligarchy” rallies around the country, has already scored a high-profile victory last year when she endorsed Zohran Mamdani in the New York City mayoral race.

Now, Democratic calls are growing for her to challenge Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) or possibly run for president in 2028, underscoring the degree in which she’s helping shape the party.

“There is a tendency to broadly lump everyone ‘on the left’ together, but while there are some folks who are more interested in throwing bombs or getting clicks, she is very carefully and skillfully building her political base and power,” said Democratic strategist Eddie Vale.

Now 36, the New York congresswoman has only grown her profile and popularity, becoming one of the Democratic Party’s biggest fundraisers and rallying its growing progressive wing.

AOC, it’s your time. You’re already more feared by the GOP than Pelosi, Schumer, et al.

That fear is because AOC is a masterful, passionate, and ferocious proponent of progressive ideals.

    We need you. It’s time.

  3. Either take chuck’s seat or run for president. We need her to take a seat at the biggest table.

  4. Chuck is showing that he’s irrelevant and ineffective. I’m not sure AOC is the correct replacement, but clearly a change in leadership and direction is needed for effective leadership

  5. She should be the next president

If you think “I like her… but America won’t elect a woman”, you have no fucking clue why Kamala and Clinton lost. Why that is scary, is you probably also have no idea why Trump won. Trump is a symptom, not the disease – and you are going to see another, much more organized Right-populist movement swing right back again if we have another neoliberal status-quo warrior administration like we would see with Buttigieg/Harris/Newsome/et al.

AOC should run for senate and replace Schumer. Not president. At least not yet. A senate majority leader AOC would be a p phenomenal contingency in case of a centrist winning the dem nomination.

  7. I’ve been saying this for months.

It is an almost guaranteed win as she has the best chance in the primary. She is young and chuck’s senate seat would insulate her for a potential presidential run in 32 or 36. Neither are election years for the senate seat so there would be no risk of losing it in a potential presidential run.

The 28 presidential field will be a big one. She has the name recognition and skill to do well in it, but it is still much riskier than that senate seat. Being a senator would only increase her prominence in the party and the public making her an even better candidate in the future.

PLEASE DO! At this point that weak and gutless old fool is doing more harm than good by standing in the way of meaningful resistance to Trump. GET HIM OUT!

I would love to vote for AOC for president one day. With that said, she could have a longer, more impactful role in the Senate, especially as Senate majority leader.

  10. I’ve long been saying she will be president one day. she could be the greatest turnaround the USA has ever experienced, leading the country from the darkness into the light.

  11. I’ll support anything to get Cuck Schumer the fuck out of government. Anyone pledging allegiance to Israel needs to get the fuck out of the US government.

  12. Good. We need younger leadership in government. The old dinosaurs led us to where we are. It’s time to try something different.

  13. It’s a stretch but I honestly think she should run for president in 28. We need an authentic progressive voice

  14. She entered politics by challenging a corporate Democrat who didn’t even bother showing up to debates. Swept the floor with him in elections. The majority of America is ready for actual politicians who understand and care about them. There are few as well as equipped as AOC that understands the working class. She is the type of leader we need. Intelligent, compassionate, steadfast, brave, and can also change a beer keg at moments notice.

  15. I disagree. I think it’s a waste to throw her at his seat. She’s demonstrated the clout to pick winners. She can run for president and endorse Brad Lander, Antonio Delgado, Michael Blake, etc as the next Senator and they can win. I specifically believe Lander would be a slam dunk against Schumer.

And this all assumes he even runs for reelection.

  16. She 100% needs to replace him. Our Dem senators and representatives could kick out Schumer and Jeffries RIGHT NOW if they had the balls to hold a vote. DO IT

Seriously, if she’s down to do the actual work, and I have yet to see any reason to believe she’s not, I say go get it girl. We got your back.

Cuz the current Dem leadership sure as shit doesn’t have ours.

  18. Barring some new entry into politics (whom happens to be working class, intelligent and empathetic with a fire) this is who I want right after fascism in the big seat. Give em hell AOC.

Be nice to finally have a female president, especially one with integrity that won’t sell us out.
