  1. > In a stunning reversal, the Justice Department on Thursday filed a motion seeking to drop criminal charges against the two Venezuelan men. In it, the DOJ said federal prosecutors provided incorrect information to the court, while ICE issued a statement admitting its federal agents made “false statements” under oath.

    >The two federal agents involved have been placed on administrative leave while the Justice Department investigates their “untruthful statements,” which were revealed by a review of video evidence, ICE Director Todd Lyons said in a statement.

Shot a guy. Lied about what happened. Admitted they lied. Get paid vacation while they get “investigated.”

  2. “The two officers may be fired and potentially face criminal prosecution, Lyons said.”

I’d honestly be shocked if that happened.

May be fired? Potentially face criminal prosecution? So, we’re still at the phase that there are only threats of repercussions.

It’s a lengthy article that’s frustrating as they paint the administration as “losing credibility” and are confused as to why DHS makes incorrect statements.

It’s like the author has attached zero previous actions and known illegal acts and lies by the administration and is confused how this is all happening.

These two sumbitches Don’t know it yet, but they are going to be martyrs for the cause. The gov will prosecute them to no end just so they can point at this case during the mid terms and say “See? We held those two bad apples accountable! Don’t fall for the liberal media bias!”

And their base will eat… It… Up.

If you follow the many many many court cases about the questionable and straight up illegal acts by this administration you will see that many judges have straight up shitcanned “the presumption of regularity”.

The presumption of regularity is a long standing principle where deference is given to acts and statements of the government under the assumption that the government generally acts within the law and is truthful to the courts.

That courts no longer rely on this means that the DOJ lies and they do it a lot and judges are aware of it.

This is pretty significant, and cases like this illustrate why and how fucked up the DOJ is under Trump.

  6. If the agency willfully lies about one thing, they cannot be trusted not to lie about other things.

The entire DHS should be on a Brady list.
