We can start by initiating trials akin to the Nuremberg trials with actual consequences for anyone that actually took part in what this current administration has done. No statute of limitations.

I probably respect Biden more than most, but, my god, after reading several dozen versions of this take the first time around, Merrick Fucking Garland was chosen as the face of DOJ reform.

That the public couldn’t muster more than a +3 House and 50/50 Senate in 2020 didn’t help either.

  3. The only real remediation is that every single one of these Nazi fucks are prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

I don’t believe that Pam Bondi’s successor is going to be democratic.

And even if that somehow miraculously turns out to be the case, I have never seen any evidence that a democratic Administration in the 21st century would be remotely willing to do the kind of house cleaning needed in literally every facet of governance.

  5. The whole government is gonna be left in probably the biggest mess in modern history for whoever the next president is. Good luck.

And can it be someone who can finally take out the human trafficking henchman…

Henchman = Hitman = Paid for Hire

    =

a faithful follower or supporter, especially one prepared to engage in crime or dishonest practices by way of service.

  7. That’s what people don’t understand. All of the different federal departments have been reformed. They’ve screwed up the entire federal government.

  8. First she has to leave and have a successor. We all know Dear Leader (if he lives till ’28) isn’t leaving voluntarily.

  9. Nah. Dems need to stop fixing things. Use all her same techniques and go after this admin and send them to El Salvador.

  10. Look at it this way: good opportunity to hire a bunch do ACLU attorneys and other liberals who want to see the DoJ built right.

  11. A felon should not be able to issue pardons to anyone. That’s a fundamental logic issue with the US’s judicial system right now. A felon becoming president itself was an issue, but issuing pardons literally removes the rule of law itself.

Not only “similar reforms”. The DOJ will need to be blipped- completely disbanded and reconstituted.

The Republicans really set America back decades. There has been so much destruction to our basic institutions all for the benefit of billionaires and an Orange turd. Republicans fell for this shit hook line and sinker. Suckers.

  14. The whole fucking government is being left a mess. Unless these assholes are actually held accountable, and not just some low-level patsy, but from the top-down, this country won’t even begin to be trusted for a long fucking time.

The next President needs to pass an executive order imposing term limits on Congress and SCOTUS. Will it be swatted down? Sure, but it will be a great way to get the conversation to dominate the news cycle for a while.

  15. Jawnny-Jawnson on

Pam Bondi and Kash Patel were installed to lead the DOJ and FBI solely because of their loyalty to Trump and with the way they’ve successfully covered for him and the rich elite shows it was successful so far

I’ve been saying it all year long. Conservatives are blindly dancing themselves into a situation they’re not going to like. Next time they lose, the country will see historic levels of reform.

  17. She behaves like a 16-year-old mean girl. She has debased the office, the country, and the rule of law. Every legislator supporting (or ignoring) this needs to go. It’s do or die time, folks.

  18. Pam Bondi made the DOJ an absolute mess. They will have to find someone with integrity to start over from scratch and find a team also with integrity that’s willing to help rebuild the DOJ as it’s going to take years to get it back to halfway back to where it was.

Then that successor AG needs to immediately decide to bring charges against Pam Bondi for dereliction of duty as well as bring charges against the orange one. I’m almost wishing it will be Jack Smith. He would clean that house up.

  19. This is the perennial way: Dems run things relatively well and don’t leave a mess. Republicans come into power, create chaos, and leave a giant mess. Dems come to power and spend 75% of their time cleaning up the mess and restoring order, to the extent they can. This time, however, the damage is so massive that many parts might be irreparable. In this wake, republicans and conservatives will say “see, they can’t govern…”. The Republican brand is 1) break it, 2) say liberals/Dems broke it, 3) grift and graft heavily while “fixing it”, 4) create an unholy mess, but make their friends a lot richer in the process.

  20. If all is reformed correctly, about 90% of Fat Donnie’s administration should receive jail time.

  21. Exactly the kind of mess that we’d expect from someone looking to destroy any and all possibilities to hold criminals to account for their misdeeds. It’s clearly working in the short term, but there are many, many Americans who are not willing to let the dastardly cretins succeed in the long term.

  22. NotAnotherBlingBlop on

The entire fucking government has to be reformed and the only way that can happen is if we actually have trials for all of the traitors.

If Dems just let it go and say “We need to have unity instead of divisiveness” I’m never voting again

  23. LopsidedPomelo6563 on

They need to be charged with treason.

They are providing aid and comfort to enemies.

For those who think pedophiles, killers of American citizens and violators of the constitution aren’t enemies of the US; what are they…allies?

  24. The problem is that the average person has the memory of a goldfish, so the inevitable cycle will begin again. Republicans mess it up, democrats come in in a blue wave (but not a filibuster proof one due to gerrymandering and the electoral college ), democrats do good but cant fix things fast enough due to republicans blocking their attempts to fix things, people vote back in the people who both broke things and blocked fixing them.

Whenever someone sees someone who is a survivor of domestic violence go back to the perpetrator and act like its illogical, look at the american voter and it all makes sense

If Bondi, Trump and all the conspirators of the Epstein files DO NOT face at the very minimum imprisonment then this system has failed beyond repair and the people will have to take matters into our own hands to find the justice we seek. If a cell won’t hold them then the ground will.

  26. And when it takes multiple administration’s to fix it, theyll complain it was the new guys fault and try put someone like her in again. Tale as old as time unfortunately

  27. As an outsider looking in, my humble opinion is that you Americans will need a whole new Constituent Assembly when/if Trump and his gang leaves power. It’s not just the DOJ. The Judiciary is complicit. The Congress is powerless. A normal country can’t run when no laws pass ever.

  28. Boogersaidsboogers on

The democrats will clean everything up in time for the goobers to elect a republican to fuck everything up again.

There needs to be a real change in American politics or we’ll never get out of this hole republicans keep digging because “Jesus”, the rich, and their own twisted consciences keep telling them to dig deeper.
