It really depends how you use it. I’ve used 40 gallons, or 150 liters, in the past 4500 miles (7242 km) which is very close to the 2L/100km estimate. If you don’t charge it religiously, drive aggressively, or drive mostly long distances, then yes, it’s bad. PHEVs aren’t for you in that case.
