  1. I mean, yeah? Any cursory glance at pretty much any online community that involved Democratic voters in 2024 showed that it was a massive fracture point inside the party.

and now there is no Gaza and many fewer Gaza residents, but newly available land there that is going to be developed by billionaires, pedophiles, and techno-ultralords

  3. If only they stopped dismissing adults from 18-45 on what matters to them and their families, might have won.

  4. Glad the Trump presidency was such a huge win for the people of Gaza. Those protest votes really helped them.

It worked out pretty well for Gaza, right? Let’s ask Jill Stein what she thinks about all this.

  6. HaroldGreenBandana on

Is there a real person who actually exists who thought that voting for Trump or not voting at all would lead to the best outcome for Gaza?

Like, seriously. If you’re out there, check in.

  7. Aware-Affect-4982 on

What gave it away? Was it all the voter screaming at the top of their lungs that we wanted to end the support for a genocide?

  8. MalevolentTapir on

I keep seeing people say this, but I’ve never seen data on it. I guess it would be hard to poll, but it was polled prior to the election and never ranked that high as an issue.

  9. Speaking as a lifelong democrat: we are collectively dumb as fuck about issues like this when it comes to winning elections.

  10. Gaza was one of MANY things that cost Harris votes. It was the worst campaign in my lifetime.

All the people who keep whining about progressives sitting out because of Gaza are either dumber than shit or trying to fuck up this election too. You aren’t going to shame people into being enthusiastic voters ffs. If you care about the future get people excited to join you not despise you for being a smug prick.

So once again Israel fucked everthing up. That government is a blight on the world

And to be clear, I mean the Israeli government and not Jewish people in general

  12. AIPAC money in the democratic party is equivalent to tying one hand behind our back and shoving the other up our own ass, forced to defend ourselves with micropenis Chuck Schumer strongly worded letters.

  13. Only the youngest generation, folks. And not enough votes to have made any difference whatsoever. Americans, in general, don’t give a rat’s ass about foreign affairs and don’t vote accordingly.

Democrats are just fundamentally against actual campaigning.

The very idea of trying to be appealing to voters is totally against the ideology of the Democratic Party. What the Democrats call campaigning is just a way to funnel money to an army of parasitic consultants. The party’s ideas about what is “serious” versus what is populist (which they think is synonymous with evil, naive, and stupid) cause them to constantly favor candidates who are utter losers with negative charisma who mainly convince people that it’s all pointless and they shouldn’t bother voting because it won’t accomplish anything.

The Democratic Party is just opposed to the idea that voting should mean anything, and their empty suit candidates reflect that ideology.

  15. So the “secret report” confirms what we all knew. Gaza cost them votes and they ignored us anyway.

  16. Which is “hilarious” given what those of us paying attention though Trump would allow/enable (and he did).

  17. Yes. Because people are incredibly stupid. Plenty of naive dumb dumbs didn’t vote or voted Trump because they thought he’d be better for Palestine than Harris.

Which is about as dumb as it gets.

Absolutely. And BELIEVE IT that maga leadership is going to find the next “Gaza” to use to split the left.

They’re workshopping: “defund ICE” and “immigrant murders” (oldie classic). They’ll find one

  19. NotARobotSpider on

Another way to phrase it is obsessing over Gaza cost leftists a lot of their freedoms. Harris will be fine win or lose but some of those who abstained from voting for her are suffering because of it

  20. Folks are seeing this and still trying to act smug in the comments. It’s easy to punch down and blame others but when it’s time to hold the DNC accountable folks get quiet. If you want to win elections, you have to cater to your base. But Democrats would rather lose than take a stance that’s against their corporate overlords.

Whats clear from the comments in this section is that die hard liberals are truly incapable of reflecting on their politics and strategy. Yes the nation under Democratic leadership would look better than it does now, but the same systems that allowed for ICE to extrajudicially murder people, for federal courts to hamper societal progress, and for politicians to hand control of our public institutions to rich pedophiles would still be in place.

Since 2008, the nation has slowly awakened to the fact that this system itself is not a tenable way to order our society. The average person is working more and benefiting less. Every aspect of our society from education to healthcare to food has gotten worse. And as much as Trump has accelerated this decline, the downward trend started way before him!

The DNC’s argument isn’t that we need a new system, its that they should be in charge of the system. So how do you expect a voting population who clearly wants to see a new system in place to come out in droves to support more of the same system? The DNC made unforced error after unforced error in 2024. No one forced the DNC to rally behind Israel. No one forced the DNC to point to the Dow Jones as proof that the economy is actually great when the average person was feeling the pinch. No one forced the DNC to lean right and audition for conservative votes.

Until I see liberals actually talking about the failings of their overpaid consultants and how it led to a swing to Trump among white female voters and latino voters, anything they have to say about Gaza is just loser talk.

  22. Since when did this sub become so full of bots? Holy shit.

They’re doing everything to make democrats and the entire left fight with each other and look how successful they are!

Instead of attacking each other, focus on the real enemy god damnit.

  23. A deaf, dumb, and blind idiot could have told you this. The real issue is people actually believed Trump would be better for Gaza than Harris.

  24. MisterSneakSneak on

We know this already… we don’t need a secret report coming out. Ppl threw out their votes in protest for Gaza. Those same ppl are quite now too after giving trump the win. Idiots all around

  25. Establishment Dems shocked to discover that supporting the genocide of Palestinians by Israel cost them votes.

Progressive Dems shocked to discover that someone asked them their opinion about previous elections.
