  1. Well, if they’d done something useful like stand up to MAGA instead of running for the exit to leave the party to the Nazis, maybe they’d have some power to do something.

Yeah, some are. Many Republicans might look to them for cues on how to jump ship without a hard landing. Because this administration is unlikely to get more popular and they will want to retain some political power. Trump has gone naked, undeniable rascism, authoritarian, likely rapist, definitely misogynistic, corrupt, unconstitutional. Unpopular. They will seek an off ramp to appear moderate despite supporting this unfit person, and bending to his unfit rule. He has destroyed the party. Never trumpers and capitulation by corporate democrats to forgive and forget are their best bet.

  3. Here’s an idea.

    Stop voting for Republicans. Period.

After this administration there is no doubt in my mind the GOP is complete trash hellbent on destroying America.

  4. At his point anyone who still identifies as a republican is permanently scarred and has no business in politics. Those that stick around are greedy. It’s that simple.

  5. Who cares our actual problem is the people paying all the politicians to keep us subjugated, the 1% are the problem.

Nope. Liberals have been sounding the alarm since 2015, and conservatives are all either full blown MAGA, or cosplaying as libertarians.

Never Trump republicans do not have a base to speak to, outside of potentially a small district in the middle of nowhere.

Dude, go into any thread where the title has newsom/harris/biden in the title, and the entire thread is like “yeah but the corporate globalist democrats are the real problem.”

We’re cooked. We can’t even get our own people out to vote let alone convince republicans that trump is bad

  8. The message should be (and should have been for the last ten years) to **leave the party**.

This IS THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. You own this.

I hated the Republicans long before Trump took over. I have no desire to listen to anything coming out of their mouths that isn’t pure contrition.

  10. So may warnings have been issued for so long. Seems to me no one listened, except the ones issuing the warnings. *Hillary was right.*

  11. Nearly everyone who worked for the Trump administrations first term warned not to re-elect him, it didn’t make any difference.

  12. Never trumpers are still voting for republicans at the state and local level. They aren’t doing fuck all other than grand standing and engaging for clicks

  13. Not really, for two reasons:

    1) everything they did (on record) prior to Trump is directly responsible for Trump’s ascendance; and

    2) now Trump and his ilk have eclipsed any critics by flooding the scene with bullshit.

Chris Christie, let’s not forget, was a part of Trump’s first admin and only after he crossed Trump and was excommunicated did he suddenly develop a “spine.” He wasn’t a never Trumper.

Other so-called “never Trumper” figures like Bill Kristol, or Jonah Goldberg were enthusiastic Republican voices beating the drum during the Bush admin.

People like Mitt Romney and John McCain stoked the fire. People like Mitch McConnell enabled the entire game.

Every Republican is complicit. Every Republican is to blame.

No respect should be given for Never Trump Republicans. They still hold views that are destructive to America and helped create today’s Republican Party with their own disgusting actions.

  15. Never Trump Republicans headline with a Christie thumbnail is certainly a choice. More like: “He Quit Liking Me Republicans”.
