I had friends that were refugees from places like Iraq and I remember hearing about their politicians doing things like this and responding, “yeah, we don’t do that here. It’s weird”.

Now, we apparently do things like that here and it’s still weird.

I’m voting for whomever’s going to put the entire Trump admin in prison. We can skip the formalities of due process and other constitutional rights, since this administration has wiped their collective asses with that stuff

  3. I’m impressed no one has vandalized it yet. I’m not encouraging that kind of behavior, I’m just really, really surprised no one has gotten up there yet and added a little Shitler mustache or something. Would be a real pity.

  4. When dems regain control, that banner better be removed by lighter fluid and fire or I’m switching to green party lol.

  5. Putting a political banner on a Justice Dept building blurs the lines between law enforcement and political messaging. Independence matters, once you lose that, trust goes with it.

  6. Putting your name on the Justice building is some dictator stuff. What’s next, statues in every park?

  7. This is the kind of thing you see in countries we’re supposed to be better than. Embarrassing.

  8. I understand the concerns. The Justice Department is meant to stay independent, so political displays there can raise questions. Public trust in institutions is what matters most.

  9. Putting a giant banner of a sitting president on the Justice Department building is… a choice. DOJ is supposed to represent the law, not the person in power.

  10. Not doing any of us a bit of good to continue acting as though the Rubicon hasn’t been crossed.

  11. Well, duh. That was the intention.

He even chose that ridiculous picture of him that he literally had made to specifically meet “authoritarian aesthetics”.

He had to, because he looks too much like a senile duck otherwise. The Dotard.

Every time he puts his name on something we need to replace it with Jeffrey Epstein

  13. It’s like a dog pissing to mark its spot. This ciminal is showing us that he has control of the DOJ and that he has very effectively subverted justice. That, and he’s a crazed megalomaniac just like every other despot that has done the same.

  14. I mean is anyone actually surprised?

Though honestly it makes him look kinda like it’s where he belongs (behind bars).
