The remaining 40% who presumably support him is unfortunately enough to keep maga in power largely thanks to those who choose not to vote

  2. I’m looking forward to him babbling for an hour to show all America why he needs to be replaced

  3. Wish I believed 60% would vote against trump (if election were today) and trump endorsed candidates in midterms.

I bet some of those who disapprove are just mad he hasn’t deported every immigrant missing a paper or two, hasn’t bullied every country with tariffs and threats of war, hasn’t shot all protestors in the face, hasn’t bashed other minorities, and worse.

As with all polls, there are four factors to hone in on before believing the result:

Is the source politically biased one way or another?

How many? – What’s the size of the group polled?

Where? – What states do the members of the group reside in?

Age – Was it a cross section, evenly weighted, or was it just a certain age demographic?

Without this info, the poll may not be an accurate barometer at all for the whole country’s populace.

This particular case is unique, as was 2017-2020. We have a guy who is a lame duck by all reasonable qualifications, yet he has this sort of delusional belief that he is fit to serve and be re-elected a third time. That’s not going to happen. The two party system will not allow it.

On the downside, the next president, whichever party they’re affiliated with, is going to have to either backtrack everything to achieve some return to stability, or decide to double down and destroy America’s reputation permanently. We will no longer be trustworthy in trade, alliances, treaties or anything if they choose the latter.

And this guy, he’ll be dead soon. He knows it. He couldn’t care less about the destruction or poverty that follows. It’s never crossed his mind. There is no “good’ or “evil,” there’s just “Did I get what I wanted? No? Well I’ll just go dirtier and get it that way.” This is a point many people don’t take into consideration. His business associates have the exact same mentality. They don’t serve anyone. In their mind, everyone serves them.

Has America always had about a 40% clueless asshole population? Historically speaking, yes. Does it exceed the clueless asshole population of other countries? Probably not, but in those countries, clueless assholes have many more opportunities to gain wealth and local influence than being elected to office. In our case, they DO get elected, because they spout what their audience wants to hear. There are no morals involved.

As has been demonstrated in my lifetime, we have elected to two terms a former B List Actor who was also a Governor of California (and left it in crushing debt), a former Governor of Texas who hails from Connecticut who had substance abuse problems and whose only saving grace was a crystal clear memory socially – he’d pick up conversations that had ended years before with people when he saw them again. Plus, believe it or not, he had a conscience compared to the guy right now.

In both cases, America sighed “Ugh….Well at least we can’t elect someone worse.”

Each time they’ve been proven wrong. We will be proved wrong again.

Unless both parties take some responsibility and vet their candidates for President a little more effectively. Political experience? Competent as far as how the Federal government operates? Do they know the Constitution and Bill of Rights off the top of their head? Are they prepared to make tough decisions on whether a bill benefits the general welfare or security of the nation, or are they going to be the stick in the mud that gets us all in a deeper jam? Are they psychologically sound? (That would take thorough research into their past, but as they say, if you have nothing to hide, you’re game,)

This is the only way we can lower the odds of getting another feckless and criminal candidate on either party’s list of candidates in the primaries.

Sure, once it was a boast to say “In this country, ANYONE can be president!”

    Now? Not so much.

The public is getting tired of the constant rage. They’re outright exhausted and bored of it.

He has nothing else up his sleeve but rage and chaos and it’s gotten stale, even to his dwindling base.

I refuse to watch it. He says the same tired old bs everytime. Pretty sure it’s written by Stephen Miller whose IQ is even lower than Trump’s. I value my sanity.

The President of the United States of America is a racist piece of shit and a pedophile.

  9. 6 in 10, after all the shit he has done, said and enabled. Can’t fathom the ignorance of some people.
