Good. It’s nice to see a CEO finally stand up against Trump rather than kneel at his feet.

    > Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos brushed aside a demand by President Trump that the company fire former Democratic diplomat Susan Rice from its board.

    > was discussing Netflix’s tentative deal to buy Warner Brothers Discovery’s sprawling movie and television studio, a potential $70 billion acquisition that has raised antitrust concerns.

    >“He likes to do a lot of things on social media,” he told BBC Radio 4 on Monday. “This is a business deal. It’s not a political deal. This deal is run by the Department of Justice in the U.S. and regulators throughout Europe and around the world.”

  2. I feel like the Netflix CEO is teeing up an easily winnable lawsuit against the Trump administration.

Here’s how I see this playing out:

Trump orders Netflix to fire Rice on social media.

Netflix tells Trump to fuck off.

Trump orders investigations, probes, and directly meddles in the Netflix/Warner deal.

    Netflix sues for damages.

After a few months, government is forced to pay Netflix billions for illegal interference.

I’m not a lawyer, but I figure it will happen this way.

I bet she’s fired before the merger continues. Don’t pat Netflix on the back just yet.

Looks like Netflix learned not to FAFO their customers.

Disney screwed up with Jimmy Fallon
Even from CBS from Stephen Colbert

Anyone siding with a rotting emperor of pedos will definitely lose out in the long run.

NETFLIX is just preparing for a future where Trump is not around. The other companies capitulating are short sighted. Plus the more Trump get’s involved the more Netflix has as ammunition for the deal.

  6. Maybe Trump could focus on proper governance, leading the nation and addressing some of the challenges that we’re all facing?

    This is important.

I know it feels like cold comfort, but people are starting to realize Trump and the GOP are losing support and therefore power.

It would have been nice for people to realize this a year ago, but here we are.

Trump and the GOP are weak. This era of lawlessness is temporary. Accountability will come.

Get on the train now, or be left running.

  8. Finally a streaming service I can keep; Hulu, Disney & Paramount are no longer welcome in our house.

I wouldn’t call this taking a stand on principles. They don’t have principles. But what they do have is precedent. And what they know is that Trumps threats aren’t nearly as bad as the backlash will be if they caved. Tack on that the president is underwater on a lot of issues, he’s seeking a quick win on a nonissue. He won’t care to fight it out.

It scares me when Trump voices his displeasure towards something I dislike because it always reinvigorates or strengthens whatever “it” is. I am unsure of how or why Susan Rice ended up at Netflix but that is far less concerning than whatever kickbacks and BS the current admin is receiving/doing.

Incoming nonsensical Truth Social rant threatening tariffs on Netflix streaming services.

Trump has a horrible approval rating, and 0 chance of winning again, so these companies are finally doing the math

Reminder that even if Netflix wins a lawsuit against trump, tax payers are still the ones having to pay for whatever payout Netflix would get. We shouldn’t normalize illegal acts just because they justify easily-won lawsuits after the fact.

  14. So if Netflix caves, will you cancel your subscription? No one seems to have done anything Paramount and CBS.

  15. They have to suspect at this point that Trump has done enough illegal shit that it’s going to catch up with him no matter how hard the Teflon moniker seems to work for him. Everybody is about to stop complying.
