  1. Makes sense since he’s the most unpopular president of this century, and the last one, and the one before that.

  2. None of this should be surprising.

Trump is a historically unpopular president.
Non-presidential year SOTUs always get less viewership.
Trump is a historically bad orator who also has a habit of talking forever (he owns the two longest SOTU addresses).

All of these things probably contributed to the speech being very unpopular. The audience of people who want to listen to this bozo rant for nearly two hours is very small.

It was the same speech that Ed at the corner bar gave last night… after having way too many beers.

Same disheveled appearance, stupid stories and lies, and half sentences that made no sense.

It was a speech full of lies. Trumps tariffs have caused increased prices and a collapsing job market.

Between Trump screaming and Vance smiling like a big boy who found a plum in his pudding, I could only take 30 minutes.

The worse off we are, the more lies he has to spew, the longer it takes. Why the least popular are also the longest lasting.

Glad I could contribute to that, smoking pot and playing chess was a much better alternative.

  8. He was holding on to that lectern for dear life towards the end. I assumed most turned it off and went to bed

Didn’t watch that ass-hat. In my view there’s something disturbingly ironic about such a divisive twat presenting a “State Of The **Union**” speech. Binged a few episodes of “Better call Saul” instead which ironically enough depicted two brothers fucking each other over as well.

  10. I can’t stand to listen to him. Nothing he says has any value. It was an easy skip. I hope the ratings were terrible.

Yeah no shit. No one wants to listen to a rambling dementia patient spew a bunch of bullshit.

  12. I’ve changed my mind. We do need a two tier justice system. The rich and powerful should have far more dire consequences for their crimes.

I tried, but couldn’t stomach the sight of Trump, Johnson, and Vance all at once 🤢

President [Redacted]’s speech comes in the context of record Trump Unemployment, skyrocketing Trump Inflation, a brand new 5% Trump Tax increase for consumers, a record swelling of the Trump National Debt, brand new allegations that the Trump Department of Just His buried evidence of President [Redacted] raping and physically abusing a young girl, and the Trump Department of Homeland Security currently having no funding with Trump’s Congress in gridlock and no end in sight.

I just can’t with him anymore. Every speech is the exact same, whiny grating voice gaslighting that things are perfect when he’s in charge and chaos when he isn’t, complaining about an election 6 years ago that he lost, taking credit for everything good and passing the buck for anything bad, scapegoating undocumented people for all the ills of the world, weak but strong political opponents…enough. Just stop talking.

It was, apparently, so dull and ignored that there’s nowhere near the outrage posts I expected to see this morning on Reddit.

I didn’t even see a megapost about it.
