  2. Since the photos of the hearing was leaked to the public. Might as well make the entire hearing public

Kick Boebert out of the room and let the press in. She violated the rules, dumb bitch should not be allowed to remain.

  4. BigHungryFlamingo on

    Good.

It’s desperate as all hell for them to try to snap photos of her. I’m sure they’re recording her with their phones or other unauthorized devices. The whole thing is a fucking sham.

This should’ve been public. The Clintons wanted it to be public. And this is EXACTLY why.

By the way, don’t forget that Boeboe was caught on camera saying, “Ghislaine deserves a longer sentence in a harder prison” right after viewing the unredacted files. She then got brought into a SCIF where they supposedly grilled her into keeping quiet.

We need to have big time accountability in congress.

You get caught breaking the rules – your paycheck gets donated to your political opponents campaign.

Just to be clear, is Lauren Boebert the same person who tried to give her boyfriend a handjob during a play, in a theater full of children?

  7. Your headline is wrong and not the same as the NY Times article:

Hillary Clinton’s Deposition on Epstein Disrupted by Leak of Photo of Her Testifying

The former secretary of state had requested a public hearing if she was going to be forced to testify in the House Oversight Committee’s investigation, but the G.O.P. chairman had refused.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton briefly halted her closed-door testimony before the House Oversight Committee on Thursday afternoon after learning that a Republican attendee had leaked an image from inside the deposition, prompting an eruption in the room as her lawyers vociferously objected.

Representative Lauren Boebert of Colorado shared a photograph of Mrs. Clinton answering questions, which was posted on social media by Benny Johnson, a right-wing podcaster. Mrs. Clinton’s attorneys immediately asked to pause the proceedings, noting that the former secretary of state had been denied her request for a public hearing. The deposition resumed about 30 minutes later.

The disruption came after a defiant opening statement from Mrs. Clinton, who decried House Republicans for forcing her to participate in their investigation into the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and accused them of using her as a prop in “partisan political theater.”

“You have compelled me to testify, fully aware that I have no knowledge that would assist your investigation, in order to distract attention from President Trump’s actions and to cover them up despite legitimate calls for answers,” she said according to a copy of her statement provided in advance.

“You have made little effort to call the people who show up most prominently in the Epstein files,” she added, noting that not a single Republican had attended a closed-door session last week in Ohio to depose Leslie Wexner, the retail billionaire and prolific donor to G.O.P. candidates.

Representative Suhas Subramanyam, Democrat of Virginia, said the first hour of the deposition before the interruption had been an embarrassment to Republicans, turning up nothing of significance.

  8. That’s the republican party in a nutshell.

You just have to do and say nothing then try to control the narrative later, but they find a way to spectacularly fuck it up.

  9. Damn, we’re taking a trip in the way-back machine. Just like when the GOP came out and admitted all the Bengazi “investigations” were just an excuse to get a picture of her answering questions so they could use it to campaign.

  10. TheBatemanFlex on

I don’t feel for the republicans, but imagine trying to work with someone just THAT stupid.

  11. Known Nazi Skank Boebert leaked it instead of teaching her son how to be a parent. Trash breeds trash

  12. Why stop there, leak some fucking video. We deserve to see what she has to say. Don’t know why the fucking Republicans are so scared of us seeing that, considering it was them who wanted this hearing.

  13. Why is a sex offender who gave a handy in front of kids who was married to guy who exposed himself to kids and is the mother of a kid who had a kid at 17 with an even younger kid allowed to be part of a hearing involving child sex crimes??

  14. Rght wing media has made the Clintons a boogeyman for 35 years now. At this point right wingers hearing the name have a Pavlovian response triggered deep in their limbic system that renders them incapable of rational thought. And the Clintons haven’t stopped pressing that button, sometimes for funsies. Conservatives are to blame for this, but I’m not surprised that for people not paying attention this looks like a “both sides” situation.

Meanwhile, for almost _2 generations_, my entire adult life, our political system has been locked into this insane dance as our society crumbles around us. I cannot wait for this stupidity to be a distant memory.

  15. Accomplished_Sea3811 on

If you want to go public, let’s go public with the entire proceedings, including the president.

  16. What’s funny about this whole thing being private is that there’s nothing that Clinton knows or that could be said that is either private or secret. There’s nothing stopping her from saying what she knows in a press conference afterwards.

  17. Choice-of-SteinsGate on

And Boebert/Benny Johnson are pretending like they’re the victims and they don’t have to follow the rules.

Clinton wanted a live hearing, Republicans refused. Take it up with your party.

  18. Boebert is intentionally doing this because they don’t like her answers. She even told Benny the Russian Asset that he could tell everyone he got it from her. She wants Clinton to do this because they realize it’s going nowhere and they need to change the story again
