I just want to point out that since 1972, [no F15](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_F-15_losses) has ever been shot down in air-to-air combat, and only three that I can find are confirmed to have been shot down by SAM or artillery.

Kuwait uses US built and supplied air defense systems, it makes sense that they work as designed. Seems like the Kuwaiti military were either not aware of friendly forces or incompetent.
