I suspect he didn’t want to listen about “blowback” and “ruining relations with allies” and all the other blah-blah reasons why blowing up schools wasn’t awesome

  2. If Patel believes that he must be the smartest guy in the FBI, then there will only be about a half dozen staff remaining on the payroll. And all of them will be his friends.

  3. If you want a soldier on every block, then open a martyr factory in your own country!

The more people we kill in Iran, the more likely we’ll see reprisals here on our own soil.

    This is a planned tactic.

    Two possibilities:

    1. Kash was not in the loop and this is just a dumb, short sighted decision by a man utterly unqualified for this job.

    2. Kash was told to dump anyone who could be a voice of dissent to this administration’s illegal Israeli war, because the one thing this administration hates is non-fealty.

If something absolutely horrible doesn’t happen on Trump’s watch equivalent to 9/11, I might believe our entire intelligence apparatus is unnecessary.

  6. I imagine that he knows that the earlier idiocy likely made him a much more exposed target … I’m guessing that he’s not sleeping very well at night.

Don’t forget the part when he flew in to party with the US hockey team…

They’ve been trying to instigate a violent attack in the US since ICE started harassing people. Except they couldn’t goad protesters into it. So now they’re trying to use the attacks on Iran to radicalize domestic Iranian immigrant, descendants or sympathizers. Removing Iran experts increases the likely hood that something can happen without warning. Because we’re actively looking away from it.

  10. Just like when Trump disbanded the infectious disease and pandemic task force Obama had developed right before the covid19 epidemic?

The incompetence of this administration is beyond belief. It’s like the whole GOP and their cult have no idea how anything works

  11. This is like when Trump disbanded the CDC people who prepare for pandemics right before we had a global pandemic. It’s like throwing away your umbrella because it’s not raining.

So you got rid of all the experts in Irans use of proxies and terrorist cells in target nations. I wonder how many terrorist attacks in the US are going to happen because of this.

They would LOVE a terrorist attack in America. Golden ticket to commit crimes and gain more favor from the right. Firing these people lays the ground work.

  14. Bet they were all telling his ass “don’t fucking do it” and he got sick of hearing it

This is Trump Admin’s go-to move so that these people cant be reined in later.

Hegseth wants to kill civilans in the Gulf of Mexico?

He fires the entire South Pacific JAG wing leadership months prior and then threatens all Admirals and Generals later on if they complain.

Trump wants to bomb Iran without any pushback?

Patel fires the experts that would question such a choice.

These are not leaders; they are cowards masquerading as tough men who intentionally blind themselves to feel more tough.

“We fired them because they would have told us this was a bad decision”

I’m so glad they have only people of merit in these important positions now.
