  1. From Carol Leonnig, senior investigative reporter and Ken Dilanian, justice and intelligence correspondent:

FBI Director Kash Patel has spent much of his first year in office battling a string of insider accusations that he has [jeopardized criminal probes with his inexperience](https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/national-security/kash-patels-new-way-leading-fbi-fewer-morning-intel-briefings-sports-e-rcna202865), [misused an FBI jet](https://www.ms.now/news/senator-slams-kash-patel-for-use-of-fbi-jet-asks-for-investigation) for joyriding and [has run a “rudderless ship”](https://nypost.com/2025/11/30/opinion/damning-report-labels-fbi-rudderless-ship-under-kash-patel-with-he-and-dan-bongino-more-concerned-with-building-personal-resumes/) as head of the bureau.

In key moments when he has faced public glare, Patel has chosen to fire sets of FBI agents and staff, an MS NOW analysis found.

The result has often been the regeneration of headlines. This time, however, they have been about the firings themselves, which Patel’s critics say appears designed to ingratiate him with President Donald Trump.

MS NOW found that in four key instances, Patel’s decision to fire FBI agents and staff came within hours or days of unflattering accounts emerging about him and his competency to run the FBI. The serial purges that followed, according to the FBI Agents Association, were unjustified, illegal and weakened the bureau, which has long been considered the world’s premier law enforcement agency.

“You know he has a trend, when he gets jammed up on something he literally fires people right after,” former FBI agent and MS NOW contributor Rob D’Amico said.

It’s almost as if Kash Patel has been promoted way beyond his abilities…

Kristi Noem is close to being fired, and now it’s Kash Patel. There’s nothing new under the sun when it comes to Trump—–he fires people left and right.

One thing I don’t see mentioned much but should be made clear especially to people that just read the headlines. His girlfriend is not a huge performer, she really only gets basically bar gigs, besides for the gigs her maga boyfriend is able to get her at Trump events. All of her “original” songs basically profess her love for Trump and how she wants to be with him, otherwise they’re just covers of Toby Keith and the likes. It’s not even like Kash is using the FBI/ American tax dollars to see a huge spectacle and support a huge American singer perform. Sure hope the FBI director doesn’t have anything more important to do other than see a bar band.

Can we pretend to blame the agents instead of him and see if it reverse psychologies his ousting?

  6. The FBI is so understaffed right now that they had to send Grace Ashcroft, a lowly intelligence analyst, to investigate a murder scene at the Wrenwood Hotel, BY HERSELF, despite the fact that her own mother was murdered at that same hotel.

  7. Dude has a list of agents that performed duties assigned to them in previous adminstrations. Duties they almost certainly weren’t given a choice to decline, but because those were deemed politically “problematic” to the current administration, Kash decides to fire them on a whim, whenever he gets his panties in a twist.

So on brand for this douche.

  8. Might as well save the money and shut the clown show down. I mean, they are a criminal enterprise since they are willfully obstructing and in violation of a federal law.

Patel is unqualified for the position, we all know it. So he tries to cover it up by acting tough and “faking it until you make it” by blaming the issues on subordinates and firing them; instead of being a leader and accepting responsibility for what happens in his department.

  10. Guy is acting like a GM of a sports team on the hot seat. Everyone is a scapegoat until he runs out of scapegoats

Kash is a clown, deep down he knows he’s a clown, so he exercises power to make himself feel better.
