What I don’t understand is that we signed very strict legal agreements, but somehow the federal government can change the rules of pre-existing loans whenever it wants. I’m not paying shit

The issue of student loan forgiveness is dead. Unfortunate. no Democratic politician will try or should try to deal with student loan issue anymore, especially when compared to multitudes of problems that need to be fixed first.
Biden tried and he was not rewarded, for even attempting.
So if you ever see more comments to the tune of “Democrats should at least go big & promise everything in the campaign. Voters will acknowledge the attempts”. WRONG. Remember the student loan forgiveness saga.
Voters will punish the Democrats for failing to deliver on their promises (real or imagined).
