This needs to be blasted from the rooftops. He started a war that would spike oil prices at his own discretion but didn’t bother refilling oil reserves. Even worse, he campaigned on refilling oil reserves.

The price of oil doesn’t really matter to you, when you are stealing it from Venezuela, Iran and any tanker you come across on the open seas.
He JUST had a press conference and said it doesn’t affect us. Only other countries. And that we have more oil than we need. Low prices!

Guarantee there was pressure from the oil companies to wait to refill till now when the prices are much higher. The government doesn’t refill when the prices are lowest.
So he lied again. Oh boy.
Or he could just reduce oil dependency so we aren’t the world’s most oil-reliant nation instead of kidnapping a head of state to steal Venezuelan oil tankers, threatening Greenland, and murdering innocent Iranian civilians to steal their oil.

This is trumps greatest superpower though. He’s wielded hyperbole so effectively that he is the one politician in the world that is simply not beholden to any of his previous statements. He has psychically imprinted on the minds of a controlling proportion of the electorate that he will provide whatever it is that they happen to want, regardless of what he actually says.
His actual rhetoric is just an amorphous promise of “you will be happy, trust me.” And somehow people have learned to believe it.
