It’s because they support these wars. The Democratic Party leadership is truly asleep at the wheel here

  2. Anxious_Claim_5817 on

You are in the wrong place the vote on the War Powers was defeated by republicans in the senate along party lines, blame their leadership.

  3. No_Blackberry6525 on

Interesting, which senators and congressmen are demanding this… “A coalition of peace groups…”

Ok, back to work I guess.

  4. They do not have the ability or guts to meet the moment. Both should step down. They’re an embarrassment to New York City.

  5. HairAncient5500 on

Realistically, what could democrat leadership do right now that would stop or even slow Trump with Iran?

  6. Grow a spine or gtfo. All these folks will be hard pressed to get votes given their inaction to this administration steamrolling the constitution.

At the risk of being called a shill, I’m going to quote the article:

    > The coalition, which includes Peace Action and RootsAction, launched a petition declaring that it is “time for congressional Democrats to replace Schumer and Jeffries with leaders who are willing and able to challenge the runaway militarism that has dragged our country into launching yet another insanely destructive war,” this time against Iran.

No word on what they believe the minority party can do.

Nothing will happen in Congress until some Republicans peel off and vote with the Dems.

The [clip](https://youtube.com/shorts/SNbwmeBYKQM?si=88y5BwqxxWoD4TjD) of this gaffe really showed his true colors. He is unserious and can not meet the moment, even when trying to deliver the most basic canned statements.

    >**Reporter:** Do you think Israel boxed the US into war with Iran?
**Schumer:** “Look, no one wants a nuclear war, no one wants a nuclear Israel, but we certainly don’t want an endless war.”

    *Walks away**

    >
    **Schumer:** “What’d I say?”
    **Reporter:** “Nuclear Israel.”
**Schumer: “**Oh, no! Let me say that again. No one wants an endless war, but we certainly don’t want a nuclear Iran, that’s for sure, okay?

All they do is capitulate. I mean, they wouldn’t vote for the Save Act, right?

  10. The Democratic Party’s old guard has GOT TO GO! They’ve been standing around for a decade now going “wow, Trump is really just breaking the law over and over… Tisk tisk.”

We need people to fight for the law of the land to be upheld. This feels like controlled opposition nonsense, or they just don’t care. VOTE THEM OUT!

These articles are so stupid. Rinse Repeat.. already read this 50 times over.

Americans, your entire government is at best complicit in defrauding the country, and at worst corrupted, with imo a heavy lean to the latter. They are all on the take.

Its been said so many times, but it is not a right vs left situation. It is have versus have not. The wealthy, government and special interests are all in the club, and you are not. Citizens are just there to fund their ongoing grifts.

  12. Fluid_Comb8851 on

Schumer and Jeffries would’ve been out after Trump was re-elected in any functional party.

  13. Dense_Delay_2605 on

A coalition no one’s ever heard of cries in the corner as the beat goes on.

Yeah, fuck those two! The response America needs is not “Well he should have consulted Congress first.” The correct response is “He attacked a sovereign nation to distract from all the documented accusations that he is a child rapist. Impeach him and charge him, and lock him up in Epstein’s old cell”

Can we get the guy from the factory? The one who yelled “Pedophile Protector” at Trump? Trump said “Fuck you” and flipped him off. How many times has Trump shot the bird at Schumer or Jefferies? Not enough! Because those two milquetoast clowns don’t do shit.

“Let me call my AIPAC handler and see if I can step down…. Sorry guys he said *no*”

  16. Expensive-Bag313 on

The two most feckless, ineffective losers. Dems can’t even get out of their own way with these guys at the helm.

  17. outinthecountry66 on

Seriously, i have never seen more inept leadership among the Dems. These two are just two giant roadblocks to progress, a long with the entire Trump administration. Who the fuck cares about our country? Only the progressives. everyone else has their eyes in the middle east, hoping Israel will take over and they can reap the rewards. ffs they got better healthcare in israel than we do, and we keep throwing billions at them while people go bankrupt here due to medical bills. I am sick of these fucking RINOS

  18. Add Yvette Clarke to the list. In her statement about the illegal offensive war, she criticized Iran, the victim of these senseless attacks.

  19. Morningfluid on

Does this mean all of the non-Kamala left voters will stop down from speaking since they allowed Trump in?

  20. Agree. They’re on the side of Israel. We’re literally fighting a war to make Evangelicals and Fascists happy, and the top two dems are okay with it as long as they can come up with a better explanation. They basically pleaded for a better reason to support it because they want to so badly.

    Fucking controlled opposition party bullshit.

  21. I have never, in all my life, been more disappointed in Democratic leadership than I’ve been in these two. From the day Trump won the election they’ve been screwing up.

  22. recoveredcrush on

This particular leadership is GOP lite. They wrote strongly worded letters, clutch their pearls, then cave and give the GOP everything they want.

    The human embodiment of flaccidity.

  23. SphynxsFixesFaxes on

Schumer is just gas lighting Jeffries into have no future in politics. Making sure Israel objectives are met over his own party.

  24. StatementBig9063 on

Schumer clearly needs to go. His style of passive leadership and soft statements of dissent do not work in the current modern political environment. He’s only holding the democrats back.

  25. Why would they fight Trump when they are making millions off of insider-trading knowledge stock sales?

  26. Schumer and Jeffries are both heavily supported by AIPAC, and have both stated their support for Israel on numerous occasions. They won’t oppose Trumps bombing Iran (unless it’s meaningless ‘theater’ that won’t change the outcome).
